Mer de Glace

Thank you for wanting to improve the Mer de Glace article. Unfortunately, it is very essay-like, unsupported by any citations, and parts are well off-topic, and would fit better in other articles. Do please pare it back a fair bit, and add references before someone simply reverts all you work. (I've not checked if this is a copy/paste from somewhere else - I do hope it isn't.)
