Conflict of interest

Hello, ACTAB. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article ACT Alberta, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

Hi Neelix. I understand your concerns about conflict of interest, but I don't see that anything that I've said is biased. They are all verifiable facts - I have tried to be very careful in this. Hi ACT Alberta,

There are a few things you should know before attempting to edit the ACT Alberta article again. Firstly, unsourced information is not allowed on Wikipedia; if you have information to add to the article, it must have reliable sources to back it up, and most of these sources should be secondary sources. Secondly, validly sourced information should not be removed from Wikipedia articles; if the information is outdated, the old information should remain while the new information should be added, along with sources. Thirdly, on Wikipedia, user accounts are specific to individuals, not organizations; because the user account "ACTAB" references the name of an organization, it suggests that it is a communal account and should therefore not be used. I therefore recommend that you create an account for you as an individual, not as the organization you represent. Finally, users with a conflict of interest, whether they see themselves as biasing articles or not, should be very careful in editing Wikipedia; the circumstances under which an editor with a conflict of interest is permitted to edit related articles are very restrictive. If you are employed by ACT Alberta, I would highly recommend contacting WikiProject Cooperation to coordinate changes to the article.
