Apology[edit]

AGvethist, I spend a lot of time looking for, and removing WP:vandalism on Wikipedia, so in my haste, when I saw that you had added the word Dick to Harry Steele-Bodger's alma mater, I assumed it was done with bad intent. Here in the USA, "dick" sometimes has vulgar connotations, and to call someone a "royal dick" is an insult, I hope you will forgive me for my error. I am sorry that the first feedback you received, for your very first Wikipedia contribution was negative. Thanks for your help! Peter Chastain (talk) 20:06, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies[edit]

AGvethist, I infer from your name that you probably know a lot of veterinary history, so I hope you will look at the various articles about that, to share your knowledge where it is needed. Right now, for example, the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies article has a lot of information with no sources given. Cheers, Peter Chastain (talk) 21:07, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've asked some colleagues to check that page. They know all there is to know about the Edinburgh vet school. Initial feedback is it is a good page requiring only a few minor tweaks. I'll look at other vet history pages in due course. Best wishes. Andrew AGvethist (talk) 15:45, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Edits on veterinary surgeon[edit]

Hi there!

Sorry to bother you with this, but just a quick note about your edits to veterinary surgeon. The points you make are valid, but this was probably the wrong page for them. This is because veterinary surgeon is a specific type of page (called a disambiguation page), which is just designed to help people choose between articles.

Your edits would be better at both veterinary physician (which is Wikipedia's main article for vets) and veterinary medicine in the United Kingdom (which is the UK specific page). I have switched back the edits at veterinary surgeon, but have started to add that information on the other two articles.

If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page or reply here.

Thanks again.
