[edit]Hi, thanks for your note. I've created a first attempt at an article for Marie Spartali Stillman. I'm still a novice at Wikipedia, and this was my first new article apart from a tiny stub, so I would welcome some feedback on what else needs to be done. (Are you an art buff? I assume so as you noticed my earlier edit.) I know the article would benefit from some images of the artist and one or two of her pictures, but I'm rather scared of copyright issues because I don't understand them. I hope to add articles for the other Pre-Raph women artists eventually, unless someone else gets there first of course. Cheers! Charivari 12:21, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
Regards from scn.wiki
[edit]Hi Akeen - I'm Pippu from scn.wiki - I had noticed your presence in scn.wiki a few days ago and then stumbled on your name again in en.wiki in one of the sicilian-related articles. Your idea of fixing up the Sicilian provinces and comuni (o cumuna pi sicilianu) is a great one. In scn.wiki we are about 90% through doing all of them, it.wiki has done all of them (naturally). I also wanted to say that we are always really encouraging of people with some connection to Sicily (but who may not speak or write it well) getting involved in our wikipedia because there is simply stacks one can do, even if they may not be able to write a full article - so I really encourage you to continue on your course, no doubt our paths will cross in both wikipedias. Have you considered initiating a Sicilian comuni/cumuna project? Just to give you an idea of what is possible, have a look at another project I am currently working on: Wikipedia:WikiProject AFL (just to give an idea of a potential structure). Also, as it happens, we really got going with our cumuna project in scn.wiki when a German of Sicilian ancestry did this on his user page: scn:User:Leonard Vertighel - it shows all the Sicilian cumuna by province, with links to both the Italian and Sicilian articles, along with alternative names in Sicilian - it would be a great resource for you if you want to get serious. In fact, why not create a sub-page to your user page and copy it in its entirety. Good luck, and I'll probably do the odd artilce if you get cracking, but most of my time is spent in scn.wiki. Salutamu. ρ¡ρρµ δ→θ∑ - (waarom? jus'b'coz!) 03:24, 19 March 2006 (UTC) ps if you have any Sicilian friends, please direct them to scn.wiki!
- I see you've made a great start - grazzî assai! Why not copy some of your en user page over to scn.wiki? Salutamu. ρ¡ρρµ δ→θ∑ - (waarom? jus'b'coz!) 08:21, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
Sicilian project
[edit]Hi AKeen - I haven't heard from you yet, so I have taken the initiative and started up some stuff to help with the Sicilian project - please see: Wikipedia:Wikiproject Sicily and List of Sicilian municipalities. It is very early stages, but it is not a bad start. I know plenty of other wikipedians we can approach to get this chugging along. I hope to hear from you soon, and once again, thanks for the terrific work you are doing in scn.wiki. Before long, I think you should be in a position to upgrade your Babel to scn-2! - Hi AKeen - got the message - I am just doing a bit of the hack work at the moment, templates, categories, etc. - I promise you that by the time we are ready to get stuck into it there will be a thousand potential new articles! There is no rush - we can build it up slowly. Salutamu. ρ¡ρρµ δ→θ∑ - (waarom? jus'b'coz!) 03:39, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit]editing on Caruso article
[edit]You reverted the changes made earlier today by 208.47.88.133. No particular problem with that - but you should supply a reason for the revert. You said merely "rvv" which stands for "reverted vandalism". I don't think the changes made by 208.47.88.133 qualify as vandalism - they appear to have been made in good faith and are possibly useful edits. - Hayne 16:01, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
Cajon article
[edit]Hello A Keen. Recently an editor deleted some of the information regarding the Popular Theory of cajon history. The editor deleted references to the instrument being an important part of Cuban music as well as the comments regarding the Flamenco addition of strings... Thanks. - —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.104.156.15 (talk • contribs) .

Question about Awaara poster
[edit]Hi there, I've been searching everywhere for the original Awaara poster artwork that you uploaded at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Awaaraposter.jpg - do you know where I could obtain the original, or atleast a poster size copy, or atleast point me in the right direction? I'd be really grateful, as it is a stunning piece of classic movie art :-)—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.135.220.238 (talk • contribs) 14:43, June 15, 2006.
