Tuck

[edit]

Thanks for your message and sorry for any confusion about Tuck. At the time I didn't notice any CC license, but you're certainly correct that it's usable. Your edit summary and talk page note should help to make sure it's not deleted again. Anyway, glad it worked out for the best. Station1 (talk) 05:34, 1 August 2011 (UTC)

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. Abhijay ☎(Тalk)/✍ (My Deeds) 03:40, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have got no comment, but your article is still under deletion by another user. Abhijay ☎(Тalk)/✍ (My Deeds) 03:52, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at ([1]), is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Abhijay ☎(Тalk)/✍ (My Deeds) 04:27, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Most of the work is from http://tuckdb.org - Licensed under Creative Commons. What is the problem?A Dirty Watermelon (talk) 06:49, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The website says the CC license is for "postcard data & images". I cannot see that the entire site text is licensed under CC. jsfouche ☽☾Talk 15:06, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It could be a little more clear, but I work for this site, and it is absolutely fine to have this info up. Proof: http://tuckdb.org/users/11 A Dirty Watermelon (talk) 02:11, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

sunday telegraph

[edit]

Hi, in this edit you introduced a ref as <ref name="sunday telegraph"/> without an actual citation/link inside it. So now there's a citation error on the page. Would you be able to fix that? --Closedmouth (talk) 16:02, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Raphael Tuck

[edit]

Hello A Dirty Watermelon. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Raphael Tuck".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Draft:Raphael Tuck}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 02:22, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant!
