Copy edit notes

[edit]

Excellent copy edit of a tricky article, substitute good! I have a couple style notes for you:

  • The dashes you added in the first sentence of Introduction were spaced em dashes. We should use either unspaced em dashes or spaced en dashes (MOS:DASH).
  • The Latin phrase ceteris paribus should be in italics (MOS:FOREIGNITALIC). Though it might be simpler to give the meaning in English.
  • Good use of <math> notation, but watch for spaces following the closing brace.

Thanks for your work on the blitz! – Reidgreg (talk) 20:37, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

August 2019 blitz bling

The Working Wikipedian's Barnstar
This barnstar is awarded to Aarre for copy edits totaling over 4,000 words (including rollover words) during the GOCE August 2019 Copy Editing Blitz. Congratulations, and thank you for your contributions! Reidgreg (talk) 16:27, 28 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

FYI, the article you copy edited had been tagged in August 2019 rather than the target month of March 2019, but it was good work and your first blitz, so full marks this time. – Reidgreg (talk) 16:27, 28 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2019 election voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:09, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Inactive peer review volunteer

[edit]

Hi Aarre, you're receiving this message because you were previously listed at the list of volunteers for Wikipedia's peer review process, but you haven't made any edits to the English Wikipedia in over 1 year.

Because of your inactivity, you have been removed from the volunteers list, so that the list is kept up to date and editors who do need help can better find active editors. If you become active again and would like to add yourself to the volunteers list again, you can do so at any time by visiting the volunteers list.

Thank you for volunteering to be on the list previously, and all the best on your WikiVoyages! Message delivered to you with love by Yapperbot :) | Is this wrong? Contact my bot operator. | Sent at 18:01, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A kitten for you!

[edit]

Hi Aarre! Politely enquiring as a long-standing Wiki contributor why my edit on the talk page might have been reverted. I began mining BTC in 2010 and after the MtGox collapse lost almost all of my holdings, the remainder being transferred to BitStamp in 2014. I'm concerned that their support staff aren't paid enough! Keep up the great work!
