Welcome!

Hello, Adair Elwyn Po, and welcome to Wikipedia! While efforts to improve Wikipedia are always welcome, unfortunately your contributions are not written in English that is good enough to be useful. You appear to be more familiar with Spanish; did you know there is a Spanish Wikipedia? You may prefer to contribute there instead. In any case, welcome to the project, and thank you for your efforts! If you need help, please feel free to notify me on my talk page. Vanjagenije (talk) 13:19, 26 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

¡Bienvenido!

¡Hola Adair Elwyn Po, bienvenido a Wikipedia! Vanjagenije (talk) 13:19, 26 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Manuel Maria Franco

[edit]

Hello Adair Elwyn Po,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Manuel Maria Franco for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Vanjagenije (talk) 13:18, 26 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Adair Elwyn Po. You have new messages at Talk:Manuel Maria Franco.

Move to accented title

[edit]

I copied this down here from Talk:Manuel Maria Franco which will likely get deleted soon. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 20:13, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

How do I put a tilde ~ on a Spanish Wikipedia page title? For example, Manuel María Franco. I need to put a tilde on the "i" in Maria for the "page title". I wasn't able to do it. Let me know or possibly give me a contact from the Spanish Wikipedia site.

Thank you for your assistance and your kind welcome, Adair Elwyn Po (talk) 16:29, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi Adair, I'm not sure if you're asking how to insert it anywhere, or how to move the page, or if you actually mean a tilde (since your example has Manuel María Franco, which has an í rather than a ĩ If it's the latter, you can see in the source how I made it. Unicode input as well as Diacritic#Generation_with_computers will give you more options. If it's about actually moving the article, take a look at WP:MOVE, the image there should show you everything. Don't hesitate to ask further questions if you're unsure. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 18:14, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

Thanks Martijn. On the webpage title in Spanish it should read Manuel María Franco and not Manuel Maria Franco. I can do it in this writing but not to change the title of the webpage. Hope I'm clearer this time. Thanks so much for your thoughts and consideration on this topic. Adair Elwyn Po (talk) 18:45, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

Do you mean the English Wikipedia or the Spanish Wikipedia? Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 20:13, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I meant for the Spanish Wikipedia. Adair Elwyn Po (talk) 21:19, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article has already been deleted, as well as the talk page. Please speak with the deleting administrators (the administrators identified in the red deletion box on the page) to contest against the deletion. Thanks. --JustBerry (talk) 21:29, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
See es:Ayuda:Cómo cambiar el nombre de una página. I don't see where the move procedure would require more than the ability to type the name you want to move the page to. However, you may want to ask for help with the Spanish Wikipedia on the Spanish Wikipedia. People over there are probably able to provide more specific help.
