You must always add references and citations for your edits.

[edit]

Hello AdinkraNyea, for any edit you make on wikipedia, there must be a citation, reference or source which backs it up. The citation must be reliable and verifiable. This is according to a wiki policy known as Wikipedia:Reliable sources. Please open and read the link page to the policy for further understanding. Without citations, anyone can publish anything on wikipedia which is wrong for Wikipedia is not a dictionary, blog, social media platform nor a newspaper. Please take note.Kwesi Yema (talk) 13:08, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

AdinkraNyea, it seems you did not read the policy I sent. Your references did not conform with how citations are supposed to be set. We definitely do not take our sources from instagram, no. Please take this seriously. We normally cite our sources from "reliable" websites, books, peer reviewed journals, and newspapers for example. This means that even if you take your sources from a website, it must not be just any website but one which is formal and notable. Wikipedia has so many policies; many which even I'm not aware of. I know you are new here and Im sorry I wasn't patient with you but please make the effort to at least read the link pages I share to you. First of all, read this policy, Help:Referencing for beginners. After try reading this policy as well, Verfiability policy in addition with the first policy I shared. When you are done, read this as well;Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. If you do not understand anything, I'm all ears. Kwesi Yema (talk) 15:44, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Akan language has been reverted.
Your edit here to Akan language was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSYwlw1QmVY) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. music or video) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Notice this

AdinkraNkyea, why did you twist the information from the source of your recent edits on the Ashanti Empire. What you wrote does not match with the source which is this website (https://omniglot.com/writing/adinkra.htm). First of all, you wrote a different thing from what the source stated. That alone is a huge mistake you must avoid. The source states that adinkra writing was introduced in 2015 by Charles M. Korankye as a simplified version of the Adinkra symbols. But you lied that the writing was used by the Ashanti Empire in pre colonial times. My friend look, we African editors who edit on African history have to suffer by ensuring that every edit we do on wikipedia is very very accurate and legit because there are certain individuals who try to condemn our information no matter how trusted the source is. What you are doing only makes our work the more difficult because your lies are helping them play us into their hands. Do you know how difficult this work is? Please do not treat wikipedia as a school, joke or business platform.

Also, when ever you edit English wikipedia, avoid using twi, French or foreign names when that name already has an English word. There are twi and foreign language versions of wikipedia. You can only use a foreign language in the English version of wikipedia when that word has no English translation. You are new here so I'm willing to help you if you need anything. But I'm telling you that avoid lies no matter what. If you want to write something of your own words, do so on a blog not on wikipedia. Kwesi Yema (talk) 21:06, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
