Thank you.
The article The Trial (band) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 14:56, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
How can you erase an article that is even not ready yet? This is barefaced! This artcile is written in the German Wiki, French Wiki and Turkish Wiki. So why should be any problem to go on writing it in english? This group is one of the important attestors that German-Turkish culture has more to exhibit than hip-hop. There are cross-references (although not even ready indicated, there are (were) cross-links to other langued Wikis! There were enough criteria not to delete these articles. I'm going to recreate this. Alabay (talk) 15:32, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
THE WHOLE TEXT IS GONE. I'm really angry! This is BAREFACE! Alabay (talk) 15:34, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of The Trial (band)
[edit]A tag has been placed on The Trial (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — Timneu22 · talk 15:36, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

[edit]You seem to have accidentely created that article in the mainspace rather than your own userspace, so i moved it to User:Alabay/The_Trial_(group) for you. - Happysailor (Talk) 16:34, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, sorry. Thank you! Alabay (talk) 16:37, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- Happysailor, maybe you can help me. I had a dispute due someone named NawlinWiki had deleted my article while I was honing it. I got very angry due to I lost all online adaptations to the English-spoken Wiki. Another one made a deletion too, but there the article had been cut in pieces before, so I can understand this. But this "playing cop" is a bit very strange – the article is four years old and is written in de.wikipedia.org, fr.wikipedia.org and tr.wikipedia.org, without deletion. And now my big problem is, all these pages show the "English" link with no article :-| ... Can you check this article and tell me what to do further (although this is the 1:1 translation, now with one added stupid sentence in the beginning to tell it's "significance", although the siginificance is obvious when the article is written since yeras in other languages and there are homepages to look and see, if it is a fake or not. I'm really shocked due to I recently read that the German Wiki is annoying with it's "German" deletings, and now ... this happens to me in an American-influenced Wiki – of course, it's harder to tell Americans about European groups, and all articles I saw, stated to use British English, so I'm really astonished ...) Can you help me with this ugly accident? -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Trial_(band) Alabay (talk) 16:50, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- Hi there. When you put {{helpme}}, you'll get help from any available helpers. To contact that specific person above, instead, leave a note on their user talk page, User talk:Happysailor.
- The standards on other-language WIkipedias are totally different. The existence of an article on those has no bearing on whether we have an article on English Wikipedia.
- The article does not have appropriate references to reliable sources - the information needs to be verifiable. See WP:VRS, WP:GNG. I suggest re-reading WP:FIRST.

How references work |
---|
Simple references[edit]These require two parts;
Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref> He likes tea. <ref> [http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com Tea website] </ref>
== References == {{reflist}} (an existing article is likely to already have one of these sections) To see the result of that, please look at user:chzz/demo/simpleref. Edit it, and check the code; perhaps make a test page of your own, such as user:Alabay/reftest and try it out. Named references[edit]Chzz was born in 1837, <ref name="MyBook"> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref> in Footown.<ref name="MyBook"/> Note that the second usage has a / (and no closing ref tag). This needs a reference section as above; please see user:chzz/demo/namedref to see the result. Citation templates[edit]You can put anything you like between <ref> and </ref>, but using citation templates makes for a neat, consistent look; Chzz has 37 Olympic medals. <ref> {{Citation | last = Smith | first = John | title = Olympic medal winners of the 20th century | publication-date = 2001 | publisher = [[Cambridge University Press]] | page = 125 | isbn = 0-521-37169-4 }} </ref> Please see user:chzz/demo/citeref to see the result. For more help and tips on that subject, see user:chzz/help/refs. |
- Okay, I've finally done it. I've collected the important references. Better? Alabay (talk) 18:11, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
Some possible insight into why we are so tough on band articles
[edit]... is to be found here. Don't take this as applying to The Trial, but rather as a sample of what we deal with here every day. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:00, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- Of course, I see that. But don't you think that existing Wiki articles show a bit? Nevertheless, I've been through the hard German Wiki control, de-poved, and now everything is referenced. As I told NawlinWiki, my problem was not scrutinizing, my problem was the deletion without any warning, while still editing.Alabay (talk) 20:15, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- That sort of thing is why we so strongly encourage people to create the article in a sandbox first, since incomplete drafts are so frequently deleted out of hand if created in articlespace. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:33, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, I guess that was my mistake. But, you know, this was not a new article, this was the translation of something existing for long time, and from other Wikis I'm accustomed to freely translate existing articles without problems, usually we get encouraged. In the German Wiki I even have screening rights (Sichtung), so I'm not a newbie kiddy, just throwing a "garage band" into the ring. But this "userfying" went well. It was an experience. Conflict of interest
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article The Trial (band), you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, instead of writing it yourself, as you did at The Trial (band). This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.
Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.
If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:09, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- The Trial had that dispute before in the German Wiki, and it was solved due to a so-called "massive de-poving" (stark üb, gekürzt, entpovt ...) by admin Schlesinger <http://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Trial&dir=prev&action=history>, see 20.Nov.2006. So this is not any "affiliated view" text, it is completely rewritten by others. My job is only to write, mantain and control. You can verify this at the URL given. I hope, this satisfies your concern about that. I'm always trying to work 101% perfect due to I'm also writing for completely other things in several Wikis (mainly traffic, transportation, history and politics). Remember to sign your posts
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 02:45, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
- Ehm, I know that? And I usually sign wth tildes. Have I forgotten this somewhere or why do you write this here? Alabay (talk) 06:03, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
