Your userpages

[edit]

Hi! I couldn't help noticing that you have a whole bunch of userpages, and over 3000 edits to these. I have to ask, are you doing this related to articles you are working on, or are you using this as your own personal workspace/notebook? I'm only asking as you have a lot of edits to these pages compared to anything else in the encyclopedia, and as several of these pages seems to be build/install instructions and other information unrelated to Wikipedia. Please take a look at WP:UPNOT to ensure that you don't violate Wikipedia's guidelines on what you can have in your userpages. Bjelleklang - talk 23:48, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you're doing it on Wikipedia because you like the feel of MediaWiki, perhaps you'd like to download a free copy to run on your own machine. DS (talk) 01:23, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Or, if you're looking for a wiki already set up, try Wikia: http://www.wikia.com However, I found that at least some of your sub-pages were blatant copyright violations, and none of them seemed related to improving the encyclopedia. I have deleted them all and blocked you from editing because you do not appear to be here to improve the encyclopedia. If you think this block is in error, you can appeal it by adding {{unblock | reason=your reason here ~~~~}} to your talk page (remember to replace "your reason here" with your reason), but you should read the Guide to appealing blocks first. This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Hi! Yes i working on wikipedia articles, you can see my Watchlist & Contributions. This is the research of the last year which is relative to wikipedia articles i contribute in. Probably some of my userpages are incorrect but it doesn't mean that all of them must be deleted even without warning. I understand that wikipedia is not a hosting. Most of them are important Esseys for wikipedia articles contribution. I ask to restore even part of them!

Decline reason:

I think you need to recognise the concerns about using Wikipedia as a free web host. I suggest you find somewhere else to keep your personal essays. PhilKnight (talk) 11:08, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

There are two issues here. Firstly, while yes, you made some edits to articles, that was a tiny minority compared to the edits to your own userspace, roughly 2%. Secondly, I checked several of the pages that were more than mere lists of external links, and every single one I checked contained copyright violations. That alone would have been reason enough to immediately delete them. Huon (talk) 04:15, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Alex; please note that users that are currently blocked aren't allowed to remove block notices or unblock requests while blocked. If you blank this page once more your ability to revoke this page will be revoked. Bjelleklang - talk 19:00, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
