Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 16:32, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Canvassing

[edit]

What you're doing is called canvassing. It's seen as 's talk pages. Shubinator (talk) 17:17, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm fine with being cavassed until there's a better method of drawing attention when in conflict. Fact is, Wikipedia's becoming far too 'controlled' and this sort of communication is A-OK in my opinion. If you don't want to receive messages and be part of the community, then just ignore them. prat (talk) 08:27, 31 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Alexander468. You have new messages at Philosopher's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
  • I'm also quite happy to receive what was posted to my talk page, that's not to say I agree with what was said but I'm going to have a look. Is this alleged canvassing discussed anywhere? I'm actually far less worried about the posting than about the fact that it was removed by a third party, against my quite clear instructions at the top of the page.
