Jasman Toys
Could you restore Jasman Toys Page. It was a WIP this evening. I had hoped the Catagories would be enough to hangon until finished.

Hey, I just saw that you deleted that article that I made, but all I did was make it less accidently advertised. It was not a purpose thing. Can you check my current revision and reconcider, maybe just change the name??? --Andrewrox (talk) 10:19, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- I restored the article as per your request. If not advertisement, the list is non-notable. If it has any value at all it might be merged into the main article. I was posting a note to the effect when another admin deleted it. I left a note on the admin's Talk page. Personally I see no value on this article. You might take it up to him. -- Alexf42 10:32, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- OK, thanks, I'll talk to him jimfbleak (talk) 11:58, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Can you please restore my page please. I want you to do that because when i started it, the article was not finish. So I just want to you restore it.

- And "your page" is? As part of my duties I remove dozens of pages a day. Which one you are talking about. Secondly, there is no such thing as "your page". All articles in mainspace are part of the encyclopedia. Just so you understand this and are cool with letting people edit them, refactor them and yes, even marking them for deletion if they do not pass muster. -- Alexf42 23:11, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Please check the history of articles before deleting them. This one, which you deleted, was just vandalized. I've restored it. - Rjd0060 (talk) 23:16, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Cut and paste move
Hi, could you look at merging the edit history of Damian Manso and the article it has been redirected to? If you don't know how, perhaps you know someone who does? Some of the text needs to be merged, and this;
Season | Club | Title |
---|---|---|
2004 | Newell's Old Boys | Apertura league |
is completely wrong, they won the Argentine Primera in 2004, I remember I was there. I'll look into fixing the text, once the edit history has been merged. Cheers EP 18:26, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- What do you mean? Move back (delete the redirect) to the name without the diacritic (accent) mark? (not clear on your intent) -- Alexf42 00:28, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- The original article was made in 2006 the new inaccurate one was made 3 days ago and then the original article was turned into a redirect to the new one. I think the old version should be restored, but moved to the correct title, with diacritic. I can't do this, not being an admin. EP 22:27, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- I understand now what you mean. It is a little complex as it needs a merge to maintain history. I'm not sure I'm experienced enough to do it. It needs a move of the text of the new one and merge what's needed, deleting the new one and moving the old article to the diacritic name (instead of a redirect) but I'd prefer someone more experienced in this operation so I don't screw it up.
- I can't believe the article went through AfD without anyone noticing the pre-existing and superior article. Also the fact that nobody mentioned the fact that Manso is part of the LDU Quito team that's just gone to the final of Copa Libertadores. Do you know any admins that could do the history merge? EP 23:08, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- I was wondering about the AfD too. How on earth did it happen? I think you should be best served by posting the request at WP:AN explaining the same as you did here. I will second the request and explain why I prefer someone with move experience to do it. -- Alexf42 23:13, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Caracas FC
Hi, I just came across Category:Caracas F.C. players, I don't think the title is right, since hardly anyone ever uses the dots in South America, not even their own website uses them . I think the move would be uncontroversial, especially since Caracas F.C. is such an unusaul way of writing the club name it isnt even a redirect! Do you have the power to move it to its proper name Category:Caracas FC players Let me know what you think EP 22:49, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- Technically yes, although as I said yesterday I prefer to stay away from moves unless absolutely necessary. As per this particular case, it is not uncommon to use the dots in Spanish, quite the contrary. If you look at the logo at Caracas Fútbol Club you'll see them so I'm not sure it is a problem that needs a solution. -- Alexf42 23:14, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
¿Que tengo que hacer para convertir mi subpágina en un articulo de wikipedia?
Eivissenc (talk) 21:56, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
-- Alexf42 22:20, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

The "País den Dani" article you deleted.85.60.71.173 (talk) 00:16, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry but no. That article was properly deleted. It had basically no content and what little it had, before you changed it to a single "P", was bogus information. This is an encyclopedia, where information must be factual, verifiable and properly cited using reliable sources. If you want to help us build a better encyclopedia, we are here to help you as fellow editors, just please understand what Wikipedia is not. -- Alexf42 00:49, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Why the "Independent State of Aramoana" article exist if the articles need references and it don´t has? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eivissenc (talk • contribs) 01:06, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- Just because other stuff exists is not a valid claim. Thanks for pointing that article out though. It as now been tagged. -- Alexf42 01:21, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
But the article I want to write is about a new project and don´t exist citations either sources about it.Is it possible an exception? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.60.71.173 (talk) 01:36, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

¿Que tengo que hacer para hablar sin abrir un tema nuevo?
Eivissenc (talk) 22:42, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- No entiendo.
Marty Laubach
Hello, I apologize, I was preparing a page on what I thought was my personal sandbox about Marty Laubach, who has several journal peer reviewed articles, and I did not realise that by saving it in the sandbox it would go out to the main site. how do I save a draft for later work, without publishing it? Thanks much.(Maegdlyn Morris 19:32, 16 June 2008 (UTC)) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Maegdlyn (talk • contribs)
- Hello, please on Talk pages you should always start a new section for new items, and always at the bottom instead of inserting text randomly within other sections. Also please sign Talk messages by adding four tildes at the end (~~~~). The article you mentioned was indeed in mainspace and was tagged for deletion under CSD A7 (notability). If you want to create a subpage in your user space just follow the instructions.
Hey man.
Why was the page from the song Gouge Away deleted? Ok, I got your explanation about it was never a single. But I do not agree that it had just a fast apparency on a TV Series.
Anyway, I do not agreed with your policy to erase it. It is not because it wasnt never release as a single that it is not worth it to be represented in wikipedia.
Think about it, if the producers of Lost have played the song in the final scene of the final episode of the season, it is because it has a certain social importance. What is a single small article in wikipedia compared to that?
Please, let it be.
Cheers

Deletion review for Rise of raphia
An editor has asked for a deletion review of Rise of raphia. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article, speedy-deleted it, or were otherwise interested in the article, you might want to participate in the deletion review. --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 01:35, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Jonathan Goff (engineer)
Could you please restore this page? We are still adding information about why he needs an entry. Jon is well known in the space industry, has written several papers, and is a recognized expert in orbital refueling depots, colonization, and propulsion in general. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.180.6.177 (talk) 22:36, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry but no for a few reasons. First because it was rightly marked for deletion (A7) by an editor, and notability was indeed not asserted. Second, the page was practically empty. It only said that: "Jonathan Andrew Goff, is a propulsion engineer at Masten Space Systems, and is proprietor of a blog". Lastly I might consider restoring a page to a user's userspace for further work on it, (as I've done in the past), but you are not a registered user, but an anonymous IP address and I don't know who's writing/asking. Also please sign your Talk messages by adding four tildes (~~~~).
Sorry about not being signed in. Fixed that. I guess since there wasn't much there we could just start from scratch and make sure it follows the rules a bit better before we take it 'public'. Would you like a notification when we do? Mmealling (talk) 13:37, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- Not needed. Any editor (actually many do) will look at it. -- Alexf42 17:21, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
Chiraphos
Excuse me!
I'm in the middle of translating this article, and it does take time. If you took a look at my contribs, you'd surely know this is not some drive by vandalism. I am insulted! The last I checked, work in progress was perfectly fine for articles. I demand you reinstate this article. --Rifleman 82 (talk) 12:11, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- The article has been restored to your userspace. It is fine you work in translating articles, I do that a lot myself, but the article should be worked on outrside of mainspace until it is ready, else an editor will tag it. I see you are an admin too, so you should know this by now. Also you should have placed an {{inuse}} or similar tag on it. Lastly don't feel insulted, and be polite. Don't "demand" but ask. It works better every time. Happy wiking. -- Alexf42 12:21, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- Your deletion summary was CSD G1 "patent nonsense", instead of A2. I think that's the big difference. I've done new pages patrols too, and I have done speedies. I always take a look at the editor's contribs first. Established editors usually get some leeway; you deleted my article within minutes. In your restore, you did a cut and paste which left out the history; especially since en doesn't support Special:Import/Export. Do you not see why I am peeved? Now, instead of translating, I am writing on your talk page. It's needless wikidrama which could have been avoided with some AGF. --Rifleman 82 (talk) 12:32, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- OK. Point taken. -- Alexf42 12:35, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

hi Alex F, as a frequent wikepeida user i was throughly disapointed, hell even mortified that you even considered removing MY article. ITS FOUL Gordon gravy as you so readily put it is not a person, but a mere made up figementation of my mind, however he is so close to me that i think of him as a person.
wikipedia is the most unreliable source on the net often referred to as 'the devil' by lisa the librarian. anyone can add random shit to this collection of filthy lies you must be embarassed to edit this mostrosity of a website, at least this articel has an elemment of truth compared to the other articles out there.

Lehaney
I wrote an article on me - Brian Lehaney. It was speedily deleted, apparently because it plagiarised from elsewhere. I have no idea where from. The article was about me and my achievements and publications. The publications list will appear elsewhere - it is a factual list. Any ideas please? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Brian1042 (talk • contribs) 06:43, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
- The editor that posted it for CSD pointed to Coventry University. In any case, you should not write an article about yourself. If you are notable enough and deserve an encyclopedia article (I'm not saying you do not), someone else will write it in time, citing reliable sources. See also WP:YFA. -- Alexf42 10:27, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Blocking candidates
Hello ALEX, this is VASCO from PORTUGAL,
Upon consulting PABLO AIMAR (Argentine footballer)'s edit summaries, i saw your name and decide to ask for your help.
In AIMAR's edits, you will see that there are some "contributions" made by this user: PARARUBBAS. His inputs (in AIMAR and LOTS of others, check his edit history please) consist of this: removing all paragraphs from the storyline, making it just one sentence, removing all brackets (sometimes needed) and (IT GETS WORSE), removing all REFERENCES and EXTERNAL LINKS! I am absolutely lost for words with this individual's destruction of other's work, and (here comes my favour) i would like to know where do i go about proposing his blocking from editing (permanent or not, but permanent would be better, he is doing NOTHING good here).
Gracias y un saludo desde tierras vecinas, VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 01:02, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
- You should report him to WP:ANI for what you are saying and he will be investigated. If you have cases of vandalism happening now, you can revert, warn, and if needed report to AIV where and admin will consider a block. -- Alexf42 01:53, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Thank you very much
Hi ALEX, VASCO again,
Thank you very much for your input and help, i will talk to WP: ANI this minute, thanks again.
I also think i may owe you an apology, as i said in my previous message, in Spanish: "Greetings from a neighbour land", as i am from PORTUGAL. Your mother tongue may be Spanish, but you may be from a different country (i.e. Argentina, Bolivia, etc), so sorry for any incovenience there.
Take care, from Portugal, VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 02:27, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Hiweed
While going through deleting broken redirects, I noticed that you deleted the Hiweed article as G11 blatant advertising. I looked at the page and I don't think that qualifies as a speedy. It doesn't look like it is written promotionally at all. It looks like it may have notability issues, but that is for AfD. I personally don't care about the article, and have never heard of the subject before, but I might recommend reconsidering this speedy and bringing it to AfD instead. Thanks, VegaDark (talk) 17:51, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm, it appears as I was writing that User:Tiptoety restored the article. VegaDark (talk) 17:58, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
