If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Autobiography of a Werewolf Hunter (novel) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Da-drumer (talk) 20:41, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, File:Aowh.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). As a copyright violation, File:Aowh.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:Aowh.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at File talk:Aowh.jpg and send an email with the message to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.

While contributions are appreciated, Wikipedia must require all contributors to understand and comply with its copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Amadscientist (talk) 02:52, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Aowh.jpg 200px.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Aowh.jpg 200px.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Orphaned non-free image File:Aowh.jpg.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Aowh.jpg.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
  • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.
  • To opt out of these bot messages, add {{bots|deny=DASHBot}} to your talk page.
  • If you believe the bot has made an error, please turn it off here and leave a message on my owner's talk page.

Publishers

[edit]

I'm sorry, my research indicates that Mr Easton's works have all been published via self-publishing companies, and therefore you haven't made any assertion of notability for him or for any of his books. Even the award for which he is listed as twice being a finalist has a substantial entry fee, thereby reducing its legitimacy substantially.

Consequently, I have had to delete the articles on Mr Easton and his works. I'm sorry. DS (talk) 14:05, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hmh. You're quite correct in that Permuted Press is not a self-publishing house; my mistake. However, Permuted is, at this time, such a small-scale low-level publisher that being published via Permuted is not in itself an indicator of notability. I note that a Permuted Press Wikia exists, which is dedicated to any and all PP-related material; they may be more suited to such an article. DS (talk) 22:36, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, Dragonfly, the assertion that an author has published books other than those self-published is enough to show possible importance. and thus pass speedy. I have asked the deleting admin for the article on Brian P. Easton to restore the article, and if not , I shall. As there is no provision for deleting an article on a book by speedy, and there are usable versions of those articles in the history, I shall restore them also . But, Alikatia, I intend to merge them into the article on the author. Better one strong article than 3 weak ones. I advise you, however, that the article is very likely to be nominated for deletion by a regular deletion process. and you need to demonstrate notability of the author under WP:CREATIVE by adding references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases. In this case, you need reviews of his books, and a ref. to an article about his award. I advise you to do this very quickly, DGG ( talk ) 20:26, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You would also need to show that the award is not a scam. DS (talk) 21:17, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Was this page ever created? I have been checking on and off and cannot find it. Should I create another one? Alikatia(talk) 13:54, 16 August 2011 (CST)
