Lomography article

[edit]

Hi Amalalle,

I just saw your note on the Lomography article's talk page as my wife has just got a Lomography camera. I've put together other company/product articles before, such as the one on KitchenAid and Radley (company), so I have a familiarity with the requirements of putting together an article on products and companies. I think the key thing that the Lomography article needs is independent referencing - as at the moment all the inline referencing is from the official website. Anything that doesn't have any inline citations can be considered original research and therefore is free to be removed, so as the entire article is either uncited or is cited from non-independent referencing then really all of it is free to change. I'll add the standard template of helpful links after this message. Certainly if you want to improve the article and you need a second opinion or any help, then by all means get in touch and I'll do what I can. Miyagawa (talk) 21:35, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think the draft in userspace is a very good idea, and I'm more than happy to help. I'm going to be offline from next week for about two weeks, so I'm happy to have a look once I'm back. Miyagawa (talk) 12:22, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've taken a look at the draft and made a few edits, mainly to introduce a summary at the top of the page and break it down into sections. I've also formatted the citations for you. The article's in pretty good shape - really all that needs to be done is to finish adding citations to it. They don't even have to be new citations - if an existing one covers it but is located in a different place, you can link the citation to multiple locations. I've done it with the BBC News citation in the draft so that you can see what the code is and use it elsewhere - all you need to do is change the name to that of the citation you want to use again. I've also added a couple of the Wikipedia templates, and found a Diana camera on Flickr that was a Lomography branded one (funnily enough I was in the Lomography store near Shoreditch last night picking up photos).
