Information icon Hello, I'm My Pants Metal. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Tape recorder, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. My Pants Metal (talk) 19:35, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How can I add a citations to a commonly known fact? Not too sure how do add citations either. Can you re add my edit with this citation please: https://www.antiqueartisansemporium.com/franks-collection-record-shop.
Thanks! American1254 (talk) 19:37, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The page at WP:CITE can assist you with providing in-line citations. Additionally, I don't believe a record store's website qualifies as a reliable source. Furthermore, there is nothing on that website that supports your claim that "tape recorders are now valuable in antique stores and are considered one of the most symbolic items of the late 20th century." --My Pants Metal (talk) 19:53, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Wikipedia's page on unacceptable additions may explain why. If you'd like to experiment with the syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

Information icon Hello, American1254. I noticed that your recent edit to Turmus Ayya added a link to an image on an external website or on your computer, or to a file name that does not exist on Wikipedia's server. Most images you find on the internet are copyrighted and cannot be used on Wikipedia, or their use is subject to certain restrictions. If the image meets Wikipedia's image use policy, consider uploading it to Wikipedia yourself or request that someone else upload it. See the image tutorial to learn about wiki syntax used for images. Sorry. I did upload my own image from by tour trip, but I did not know that you are not allowed to upload images if you are not verified. I will try again once my account is verified. Thanks for letting me know! American1254 (talk) 20:28, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
