Yamla, I am the only one with access to this account - it is not a shared account. I would really appreciate you help in resolving this issue. Thank you very much! Cityofop (talk) 19:15, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
- Well, that might be true, but this account will not be unlocked, your best bet is to follow the instructions in the notice above and request a name change that represents you as an individual and not a company or group. - FlightTime (open channel) 19:35, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

Conflict of interest
[edit]This edit was inappropriate. You need to be declaring your conflict of interest, not obfuscating it. Please do not perform any further edits until you have read and complied with WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO. In particular, there are specific steps you must take to declare your conflict. This is absolutely required of you. --Yamla (talk) 17:27, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
- Removed [WP:COI] because I have fixed the issue by requesting a name change which was granted. Anna8500 (talk) 19:19, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
- I have blocked you indefinitely. This is not the only thing you need to do, and you'd know this had you read WP:COI. Any admin is welcome to unblock you once you state exactly, specifically what steps you will take to abide by WP:COI and WP:PAID. I strongly suggest, but do not require, this includes a ban from directly editing Overland Park, Kansas, though you'd still be free to suggest edits on the article's talk page. --Yamla (talk) 19:21, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
- You asked in email how to get the block lifted. I state again, all the answers you need are in WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO. What specific thing or things will you do in order to adhere to these policies? I'm not asking for generalities. There's a specific thing you must do, that you so far have not done. If you have not yet read those policies, please do so immediately. All the answers you need are there. --Yamla (talk) 18:32, 16 November 2017 (UTC)

You have added the necessary template to the top of this page. If you agree to stick to purely factual changes (narrowly construed) to the article and/or agree to suggest changes on the article's talk page (rather than editing the article directly), I (or any other admin) will unblock you immediately. If you wish to make more extensive edits, I'd like to have a brief discussion with you on what's appropriate and what isn't (just so you are clear about our policies, not because I think you would attempt to behave badly). --Yamla (talk) 22:11, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry, I won't respond via email, but everything you asked can be discussed publicly here. Note that WP:COI generally discourages direct editing of pages, but it's not an outright ban. However, you have to be really, really careful with the edits. On the other hand, you are free to suggest edits on the article's talk page. Let me know how you'd like to proceed. --Yamla (talk) 22:54, 16 November 2017

I would like to proceed by requesting to have the block removed from my account to enable editing of factual information. Please provide information on what is appropriate according to your policies concerning extensive edits. Thank you.

I don't think you've understood what the conversation below entails. In short, you really need to explain what you will edit if you are unblocked, and I think you must agree to take a topic ban on Overland Park, Kansas. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 14:37, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

Unblock discussion
[edit]I'm the blocking admin. I have previously stated this: "I strongly suggest, but do not require, this includes a ban from directly editing Overland Park, Kansas, though you'd still be free to suggest edits on the article's talk page." Given your history of inappropriate edits, I still think this is reasonable. Note that any other admin is free to unblock you if you agree to those restrictions (and if I see your agreement, I will lift the block). Additionally, any other admin is free to lift your block even without your agreement to those terms, so long as they understand your history of violations and believe you can be trusted this time, unlike previously when your block was lifted back in October of 2017. --Yamla (talk) 23:08, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
- If I may elaborate, there are disclosures you should make. There is more information at Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest#Paid_editors. Basically, there should be a templated message on your user page and user talk page. You should also reveal your WP:COI on the talk page of any articles and in your edit summaries.
- In so far as editing goes, you walk a fine line. The subject's web site, for instance, can be used in limited circumstances. It would be best to discuss such information on the article talk page. Generally, encyclopedia article content should be cited, from WP:reliable sources unconnected with the subject, with a reputation for fact checking. Content should be neutrally worded. Mission/Vision/Goals statements are right out. My, you've been editing this thing for a long time? Removing well-sourced unfavorable material is not a good idea.
- For now, you should suggest edits or ask on the talk page before making changes. Believe me, I know how hard it can be to stay neutral about a subject you love. Hope this helps. Perhaps others can make suggestions about areas I might have missed. --Dlohcierekim (talk) 23:31, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
