French Chinese artist Li Chevalier has lived in Europe , especially in France since the second half of the 80s. Her work is largely based on the Chinese ink art at the crossroads between image and writing. However, with different mental approaches, she drifts away from the stereotypes of oriental preciosity, which she transcends through mixture, texture, eclecticism and pathos; Her recent works are been treated and filtered by a stylistic definition that is more and more European. Beside the sign, there is an equally clear intrusion of philosophy and of music into the visual field of her art, consequence of her philosophical training at the Sorbonne University and her musician’s background . Her most representative multi-media installation < Cantabile for strings> is inspired by music from the Latvian composer Peteris Vasks, a forest of violins with superimposed eastern and western signs, lettering, words and paper soaked in ink. Maximise aesthetic and emotional impact is part of the artist’s obsession, which she tries to reach by theatrical staging with sound, light, video synchronization. The installation was created at the National Centre for the Performing Art ( NCPA) China in 2013, combined with the musical performance by Paris Opera conductor Philippe Jordan and the violinist Frederic Laroque, in collaboration with China National Symphony Orchestra . This installation has been renamed as < Polyfonia> and reshaped for exhibition at the Contemporary Art Museum Rome (MACRO) in 2017.

Hello, Apalc1961. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
- instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. 2601:188:180:11F0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 16:25, 4 August 2017 (UTC)

- Please don't edit an article about yourself or someone with whom you're closely associated. It will require a lot of editing to meet encyclopedic standards, and WP:COI accounts are rarely capable of doing so in a neutral manner. Thank you, 2601:188:180:11F0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 00:59, 5 August 2017 (UTC)
