OLMS records

[edit]

Hello, I noticed that you've been citing OLMS records for labor union membership numbers, which actually inspired me to create a template (Template:Cite OLMS) to make citing these easier, as well as to add graphs to many articles covering the data available online for unions!

You might notice that the links you've been adding don't work, which is because normally the DoL site operates as a form. However, due to you adding links to the DoL records site, and adding "file numbers" to the articles, you've enabled me to look through these links to see which have file numbers, making it easy to access their records and gradually convert/add information. This includes identifying and linking the specific reports cited and adding graphs if these seem interesting.

There is one so far I'm unsure of though, New York City Central Labor Council. This one does not appear to file LM-2/LM-3 reports, and currently you have for its citation file number 000-106, which appears to actually be for the entire AFL-CIO, unless I'm mistaken. I couldn't find any mention of a membership number for NYC CLC in these reports, only a few mentions of disbursements. I'm not sure what public records NYC CLC has, and so I'm not sure how to verify and update their membership number.

Thanks for taking on the work of finding OLMS record numbers, their site is a real pain in the ass! :) djr13 (talk) 12:22, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
