Orphaned non-free media (Image:Hawke Alex - Letterhead.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hawke Alex - Letterhead.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 21:09, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Several articles

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. Please remember to observe our core policies. Thank you. Timeshift (talk) 23:20, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Alex Hawke do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bfacebook\.com' (link(s): http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=626022101&hiq=alex%2Chawke) .
Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! XLinkBot (talk) 07:26, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Alex Hawke. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it.

Conflict of interest

[edit]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Alex Hawke, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. From your knowledge of Hawke's Facebook account, it is clear that you are friends of Hawke. Please note this may affect your ability to be more impartial than others in editing 124.148.125.137 (talk) 08:11, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, not at all. The fact that I know Alex has a facebook account does not mean "it is clear" I am friends with him at all. It was quite widely advertised. Just like Kevin Rudd's myspace. So, i'mjust someone who has a keen interest in the politics of the area. In the future also, please sign off rather than making anonymous comments. Auspoliticsbuff (talk) 08:39, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Auspoliticsbuff's continual POV-pushing continues to worry and disturb me. Timeshift (talk) 08:31, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest you shouldn't worry and be disturbed - it's not very good for the health. Causes wrinkles and the like. Auspoliticsbuff (talk) 08:39, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Anyone who has a Facebook account can search "Alex Hawke" and see he has a closed profile. what Auspoliticsbuff described on Hawke's talk page can only be seen if one is a a friend of Hawke. I don't think Hawke would accept Facebook friends at random unlike Rudd and his 5000 Facebook friends. 124.148.125.137 (talk) 07:12, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, try it and see - worked for me! Auspoliticsbuff (talk) 07:58, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Scan in 18 minutes?

[edit]

Really? You've already been picked up on Liberal bias. we know it's you Ben.Michellecrisp (talk) 01:51, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You think what you want. My name is not ben. Auspoliticsbuff (talk) 01:52, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've made 5300 edits since March 07, how can you "scan" them in 18 minutes? Michellecrisp (talk) 01:53, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's called scrolling down and seeing which ones related to the Liberal Party. Auspoliticsbuff (talk) 01:54, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
In 18 minutes? yeah really. For someone with a "new" account, you seem to know your way around Wikipedia very well. I believe you Ben. Be warned, if you continue with your sockpuppetry I can ask for your account to be checked. Michellecrisp (talk) 01:58, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm flattered you think I know my around wikipedia well! Ask for my account to be checked all you like. Auspoliticsbuff (talk) 02:00, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well are you a member of Sydney uni Liberal Club or Young Liberals? Michellecrisp (talk) 02:04, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No. And never have been. Auspoliticsbuff (talk) 02:05, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I mean, NONE of my edits have been about Sydney Uni Liberal Club, the Young Liberals or anything like that! Do you simply imagine everyone that everyone who doesn't agree with you has to be the same person? Auspoliticsbuff (talk) 02:09, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

But there was a lot of POV pushing on a famous Young Liberal Alex Hawke and other Liberal politicans whilst introducing negative info to Labor politicians. Secondly, not only was your scan of my 5000 edits done in 18 minutes but you also have to read the edits to determine what you claim is bias. I even looked back at my own edits in a quick scan and read and it took at least 30 minutes. Michellecrisp (talk) 05:02, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I must be a faster reader than you. Auspoliticsbuff (talk) 10:18, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
