[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Brightblack Morning Light has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=72648584&albumID=552794&imageID=52608710, http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=72648584&albumID=552794&imageID=43963205pg (matching the regex rule \bmyspace\.com). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 04:48, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
false information?
[edit]If there is false information in Brightblack Morning Light, you should go ahead and correct that, though I can't see what kind of incorrect information there is in that article--there really isn't anything of note mentioned about the members. What you cannot do is remove valid templates--it is obvious, for instance, that you have an interest in this band, and so the COI tag is more than valid. Finally, please do not add your signature in article space. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 05:00, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Yes, well I play in band & help manage them. Danielle Stech Homsy is not actually on any BBML recordings. Someone had posted that. It is still up there. BBML has had many many member, we most accurately describe them in the Lps. However, BBML is a project that signed to Matador by Rachael Hughes & ND Shineywater. If you know how to alter this box, that would help us a great deal. Also, you could post this photograph by Thomas Campbell.
- I don't rightly understand your edits. You could have simply removed the name; you didn't have to break the infobox to do so. As for the photograph, we can't just copy something from MySpace and paste it in Wikipedia: there are copyright issues. If you look on the left of your screen you'll see a link called "Upload file" in the "toolbox"--click on that to upload images. Finally, please type four tildes to sign your messages on talk pages, but don't do so in article space. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 14:27, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
COI
[edit]If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Nakon 05:36, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Well there is no Drag City release by BRIGHTBLACK MORNING LIGHT. Also, this photograph is for free use on the web as told by Matador Records, and is available on their own website for free use. This page has had issues of proper development of facts, which are listed on the bands own MySpace page, which someone also removed last night, not in the interest of the Living Artist. -LANA THE HELPER FRIEND & MANAGER ≤≥
- Can you provide the link to the picture at Matador's website, where they place the picture in the public domain or under Creative Commons license? "Free" has a very strict meaning for Wikipedia purposes: an image which the owner will not allow commercial reuse of is not free. —C.Fred (talk) 15:40, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Reliable sources
[edit]Manager, you should be able to see that what I've added to the article is verified by reliable sources (see WP:RS), and that is the name of the Wikipedia game. Most editors and readers here, I hope, would agree I have added relevant information to the article. Now, if you really have something to do with the band, please tell them that I just got Motion to Rejoin from iTunes, and that it's rainy in Montgomery--but that springtime in Alabama, as they will remember, is a sight to behold. All the best, Drmies (talk) 16:08, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
