Barnstars

For recording WP:BALLS in such a fabulous fashion. MDD46 03:14, 11 May 2006
For being admirable in defeat during the inagural #wikipedia-songguess competition, I award you this barnstar. Daniel.Bryant 09:51, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Thor, hope your feeling better and very sorry to hear youve been unwell :) I wonder could you give me some advice pls? Ive done some additions to a couple of other Wiki articles - NSX car etc. I also added some bits to the first article i did on Paul Grimshaw (over which we met...seems like years!) but Ive also noticed in the days since the Wiki meta tags/search functionality on this piece has been disabled rendering my contribution some type of illigitimate Wiki child, orphan or outcast? I had book marked the page and could return to it via a quick Google..but alas no more! Could you perhaps tell me from your experience on Wiki why this is or if you know of a potential conflict or something that caused this piece to be disowned? Cheers Thor, regs Dave

Deletion of articles - not your fault, but i still want to know why

[edit]

Hi, i am not angry with you but angry with several admins who have decided to delete my articles that i created because they say they do not meet notability guidelines, you had said to me they wouldn't get deleted if they were sourced properly. i know the subject of notability of sportsmen is a contentious issue, but surely if something is interesting to just one person it should be allowed a wikipedia page, its not like there is limited space on wikipedia. again, i know its not your fault, but why has User:number 57(administrator) decided its not worthy of a wikipedia page just because it doesn't interest him.

Talk:New wikipedia page

[edit]

Looks like you were tagging for CSD at the same time I was moving to Tommy Fitzpatrick (artist). I took the liberty of moving Talk:New wikipedia page to Talk:Tommy Fitzpatrick (artist). Hope that's okay.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 00:59, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your post

[edit]

With regard to your post [1], I have added a couple of citations. Let me know if I can delete the tag. Cheers. ShivNarayanan (talk) 01:36, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Although this looked extremely like a silly hoax, and thoroughly deserved all the maintenance templates you put on it, I find to my considerable surprise that there is a basis of fact. I have rewritten at as a stub with references. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 21:22, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously??? It looked about as genuine as a £5 note with a picture of Cloris Leachman on instead of the Queen! Nvm... As long as you are able to make sense of it, by all means, be my guest! Thanks for the heads up anyhow, John, I appreciate it! :) Thor Malmjursson (talk) 22:45, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Speedy Deletion

[edit]

Dear Iceflow,

I am nosebutton who created the Cleo Serori (H2O character)page. I did realise that it was so short. I tried to insert an infobox but it failed. So I just erased the entire thing.

We R One

[edit]

I'll be happy if your speedy is accepted, but unfortunately A9 doesn't apply because the group have got an article. I thought of redirecting it, but it would just be recreated, so I reckoned a PROD was best. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 22:55, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm afraid that won't work either - A7 "applies only to articles about web content or articles on people and organizations themselves, not articles on their books, albums, software and so on." I think it's unnecessarily hard to get rid of articles about NN music, but at least we now have A9 which is something. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 23:00, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The offending party was User:Codywarren08. --Orange Mike | Talk 23:39, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

James Hunter (disambiguation page)

[edit]

Just so you know, I deleted this page because it consisted entirely of content from James Hunter (disambiguation), which is also the correct naming format. If you feel I was wrong with this, please let me know. Regards. Thingg 03:31, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey no problem. heh. actually, at first I thought you were a newer user so I was going to explain why I deleted the page. Then I came here and saw the barnstar from 2006.... And then I saw your name pop up on a few other pages in C:CSD. Keep up the good work! Thingg 03:39, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Fullmetal Alchemist

[edit]

Thanks for the review. I added links to terms you mentioned. As far as I checked the anon edits, some were meant to expand the plot section adding few details. I ll add a hidden message to avoid some of these. Other seem vandalism or jokes. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 18:39, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I saw you are busy right now. However, the limit for a GA review is about 7 days. Could you have a little look? Thanks.Tintor2 (talk) 14:06, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image:IceFlow_WPLogo.jpg listed for deletion

[edit]

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:IceFlow_WPLogo.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Jordan 1972 (talk) 23:49, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have withdrawn the nomination and closed the discussion... I was simply working through a HUGE listing of orphaned images (see User:Rootology/Images/i) and was simply going alphabetically. Nothing personal. People upload all sorts of stuff and forget about it and someone has to come and clean it up. Now that it is in use, no issues.--Jordan 1972 (talk) 00:17, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CU check

[edit]

The technical evidence indicates that it is unlikely that they are sockpuppets. It does not mean that they are not meatpuppets. A less insidious explanation is that one of them got a copy of the article before it was deleted, or found it in a google cache soon after it was deleted. -- Avi (talk) 04:10, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Roux's Page

[edit]

Okie Dokie. GoodDay (talk) 01:03, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm concerned though. If Roux's continuing to participate on Wikipedia, his leave me alone approach will gradually become problematic & off-putting to other contributors. GoodDay (talk) 15:16, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
