This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because it has been identified as an account used for promotion of a company or group, with a username that implies that this has been done by that company or group. See Wikipedia:Business' FAQ and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.

This kind of activity is considered spamming and is forbidden by Wikipedia policies. In addition, the use of a username like yours violates our username policy.

You may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below or emailing the administrator who blocked you.

Your reason should include your response to this issue and a new username you wish to adopt that does not violate our username policy (specifically, understand that accounts are for individuals, not companies or groups, and that your username should reflect this). Usernames that have already been taken are listed here. lifebaka++ 17:37, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Decline reason:

Please provide a username you'd like to switch to. Also, please consider what you will be doing here if you are unblocked. Since you clearly have a conflict of interest with the Apollo's Fire article, we strongly discourage you from editing it, in an effort to maintain the article's neutrality. — Hersfold (t/a/c) 19:56, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Allowing username change to BaroqueKid (talk · contribs). Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking.

You haven't addressed my question - what do you intend to edit if unblocked? Hersfold (t/a/c) 19:23, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I concur that we need an answer to that question, but on a note of procedure, I reformatted this request to use the unblock-un template in the proper manner. It appears to have been improperly subst:'ed, which made it unreadable. The text of the request prior to my edit was "change username". I would like to have the AF name removed from the blocked list and to have my username replaced with BaroqueKid. Please notice that the edits I did to the AF page were all vast improvements and I intentionally and respectfully (out of consideration for your organization) did not include any information about our ticket or merchandise sales. All I want to do is to have the opportunity to check the page once a year and make sure the page is up-to-date. Please grant my request. Thank you.

This sounds completely reasonable. The editor has requested a name change, there's nothing else they need to prove, per our blocking and username policy. -- Ned Scott 21:42, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, but according to our conflict of interest policy, we'd really prefer you make suggestions on how to improve that article on its talk page rather than making the edits yourself. Regardless, though, your block is cleared so you can request a change in username. Happy editing, and welcome to Wikipedia. Hersfold (t/a/c) 22:43, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A message[edit]

Two issues are being conflated here: the first is the username issue, which is easily solved, the second is the overtly promotional tone of the article you have written on your orchestra. Please take the time to review our guidelines on conflict of interest and resist the temptation to turn a Wikipedia article into a marketing blurb, as that plays rather badly on Wikipedia and often ends up with the thing being deleted under our advertisement deletion clause. Please try to consider the two issues separately, and take on board the reasonable concerns raised over your edits to Apollo's Fire. Thanks. Guy (Help!) 22:26, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"the second is the overtly promotional tone of the article you have written on your orchestra". Guy, this user didn't write the article... They made two edits, which were basically an attempt to add some images, and a partial self revert when it didn't work. -- Ned Scott 09:39, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome![edit]

Since you haven't gotten one yet due to username sillyness,
