I noticed one of my edits was removed. Just wondering why thats all.

Best regards

email sent - sorry for any offense caused.

Thanks for your hard work on wikipedia

i sent you an email did you get it? i cant get to grips with this "messaging system" whereby the only way i can work out how to communicate with one another is by editing talk pages. There must be an easier way but i cant figure it out.

Antonio Banks/MVP/Alvin Burke Jr./Hassan Assad

[edit]

Now that the mystery of his real name has been solved and how the Hassan Assad name came about should the article be moved? Antonio Banks has been shown to be his indy ring name while Alvin Burke has been shown to be his birth name while Hassan Assad has been shown to be a known alias he uses. Speculative extrapolation by that sequence implies to me it's possible Hassan Assad is his current "real name" and at some point he converted to the Nation of Islam changing his name in the process. –– Lid(Talk) 05:31, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did include speculative in there on purpose as we know we can't move the article based on speculation, hence why I've helped moving it to his birth name and fix all the redirects while you weren't online. I was simply stating to me it seems that under the name changing laws of the US his name could be Hassan Assad for all intents and purposes. –– Lid(Talk) 14:44, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
We're in a conundrum: Observer first announces, correctly, his name and now the basis for Hassan Assad is not reliable. The Observer isn't 100% unreliable however it isn't also a random fan site that posts every single piece of information they are sent (for that see the Torch). –– Lid(Talk) 16:20, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:GaryAlbright.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit]
Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:RMS3DVD.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:24, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A humble reply

[edit]

I used Google Books to look for loser leaves town matches mentioned in the book. As far as I could tell, Foley only mentioned being in them (on three separate occasions actually) but never really explained exactly what they were or anything. He merely mentioned he was going to be in one and then he was going to move to another promotion. I'm not sure we can use that as a citation, since he didn't specify a cause and effect relationship. I'm in the middle of reading a few other wrestling related books, and I'll be on the lookout for descriptions of match types for you. Nikki311 02:34, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

John Cena GA Review

[edit]

I placed the review on hold. Info is on the articles talk page. - T-75|talk|contribs 22:44, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Replying on the Cena talk page works that way everyone can see what's going on (they probably wouldn't look here). Just an FYI, I'm not as picky as others, but I know from my own experience that there are a lot of anti-wrestling editors on wikipedia, so I am a little more picky on the wrestling related articles because I don't want someone to turn around and delist them. I'm flexible in the process and really just want to see articles get improved to GA status, I'd rather not fail them. - T-75|talk|contribs 23:38, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:OutlawRonBass.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:OutlawRonBass.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 01:42, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Match type prods

[edit]

I know that you have been working on the List of professional wrestling match types and have been prod'ing some of the individual articles (and rightfully so because most of the match types are undeserving of their own articles). This is a heads up...I just prod'ed Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal. I don't know how much you know about this type/kind of match, but it was used a couple of times in WCW and was used in WWE as Raw Roulette. Maybe some of the info should be merged into the LoPWMT? Maybe just mention the Jake Roberts/Sting match up and a brief mention of how Eric Bischoff revived the idea as Raw Roulette would suffice. I remember reading about it in one of Foley's books, so I'll try and get a citation for it...if you decide it's worthy of merging. Let me know. Nikki311 03:17, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image in Brian Adams article

[edit]

Hi Bdve - as part of the reason the GA for Brian Adams (wrestler) failed was because the image [[Image:Demolition 3.jpg]] does not have a fair use rationale, since you uploaded it you're really the only one that can fill it out. Could you please add the following section to the image page in the appropriate place with the appropriate information filled in??

=== Fair use for [[Brian Adams (wrestler)]] === {{Non-free media rationale |Description= |Source= |Portion= |Low_resolution= |Purpose= |Replaceability= }}

If you're in doubt about using the tag please refer to Wikipedia:Image description page#Fair use rationale for more information. Without this information the Brian Adams article will never reach "GA" Status - thank you in advance. MPJ-DK 10:25, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

'Fixing Redirects'

[edit]

I wasn't aware of that policy since it seems a little counterintuitive. There weren't many links to the WWF left, so I figured I'd clean them out. I understand why I shouldn't do that kind of thing thanks to Wikipedia:Tools/Navigation_popups/About_fixing_redirects and Wikipedia:Redirect#Don't fix links to redirects that aren't broken. I'll only make that kind of change now if I'm editing the article for other reasons as well. But doesn't reverting my edits cause unnecessary server work as well? Or were you thinking WWF would be a possible future article? DrWarpMind 17:09, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bdve, I noticed you reverted an edit of mine yesterday. The reason I removed several wikilinks is because of this paragraph here. Thanks. Davnel03 14:02, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:PennRadio.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:PennRadio.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Is there some way I can report repeat vandals? There's one who keeps adding nonsourced POV stuff to Hulk Hogan's, just an IP, no user. I checked into his other edits and his talk section and he's been banned for a day before for the same sort of vandalism to articles ranging from a Prussian king to Hulk Hogan. I was just wondering what there is to do with a repeat vandal, aside from continually reverting his edits. Your warning

[edit]

This warning, on me as an IP when I could not log in for making this edit makes no sense. There was nothing non constructive or sandbox about it. In fact, what you reverted to was such a horrible mess of an article-with broken links and incorrect and improper cites-compared to the changes I made I wonder if you even read it.«»bd(talk stalk) 22:25, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I expected the edit to be one of those dual edits, where an IP adds vandalism to a page, and then edits it another time causing the diff to show only a big mess of edits. In all due honesty, i did not read it, and i rarely do when reverting an article. I mainly scan for vandalism signals (Which, most times, are quite obvious). In this case the entire page looked lite a full vandalism, causing me to issue an (incorrect) revert.

Sorry for this though, as i should have given the article a better look afterwards. Its something i tend to forget every now and them, and as you can see its something that sometimes plays up a little bit. For what its worth: I restored your last version, removed the IP level warning, and ill promise you ill be even more carefull in the future :) --Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 22:34, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
