Becky Altringer[edit]

Becky Altringer (talk · contribs)

User:Becky Altringer is a copy of an existing article, Becky Altringer, the account is very unlikely to be the actual person. The copy seems to have been made due to an AfD. The content of the page should be blanked if not deleted, and the user should be blocked for impersonating a real person. SmokeyJoe (talk) 20:31, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Certainly agree. Block for impersonation of real person. —Anonymous DissidentTalk 05:05, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The user was recently renamed[1] to Becky Altringer from Fpi007. Perhaps this really is her. --Evan ¤ Seeds 09:00, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I find these renames confusing. Shouldn't the new username have some sign in the contribution history that there is a separate history under an old user name. Why is the person allowed to continue to edit under both usernames? I agree that the person could well be the real Becky Altringer. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 20:23, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No discussion was attempted with this user, and no notification given of this request for comment. I've notified the user on their talk page accordingly. -kotra (talk) 23:12, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies for that. I had poorly assumed that the account was created solely for the purpose of a surrepticious userfycation of an article about to be deleted at AfD. There remains a GFDL problem with her userpage, and my question of how it is that a renamed user can proceed to edit under both the old and new names. Perhaps this should be moved to the talk page? --SmokeyJoe (talk) 00:05, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Move conducted, per SmokeyJoe. Header modified. —Anonymous DissidentTalk 05:56, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
