Welcome

[edit]

Hello, Benitofranklin, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you created appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Benito Franklin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hi, thanks for message. I could not understand part of your message which referred to an email. I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, as defined in the link, or they will be deleted. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the production company, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the production company claims or interviewing its management. You gave three references, but one (India Forum) is blacklisted by Wikipedia, the second didn't mention you and the third was based on a press release from your production company. Even that only confirmed that you were in the film and didn't support anything else in your text
  • Not a reason for deletion but refs should be formatted like this <ref>{{cite web|url=http://indianexpress.com/article/entertainment/regional/sri-thenandal-films-to-release-sawaari/|title=Sri Thenandal Films to release ‘Sawaari’|date=26 February 2016|work=The Indian Express}}</ref>
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic.
  • Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: trained as a professional athlete... a desperate passion for acting... prestigious...
  • Using capitals is spammy, eg LOYOLA COLLEGE, MR.FITNESS
  • You have a conflict of interest when editing this article and you should not be writing about yourself. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that your organisation is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest and [[WP:Autobiography.
  • You cannot post articles of any kind on your user page, let alone a vanity page

I see no evidence that you meet our notability criteria, this is not FaceBook, and you can't use Wikipedia to further your career
