In case you're curious why the Wikipedia capitalization rules are different for iOS and tvOS

[edit]

I don't see anything on your talk page from Mr. 80.2.126.83 indicating why there are "Not the same WP capitalisation rules as iOS." for tvOS, and therefore why he reverted your changes of "TvOS" to "tvOS".

I was curious, so I looked it up. If you're also curious:

According to Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Trademarks#Trademarks that begin with a lowercase letter:

Trademarks that officially begin with a lowercase letter raise several problems because they break the normal capitalization rules of English that trademarks, as proper names, are written with initial capital letters wherever they occur in a sentence.

The exception is trademarks that begin with a one-letter lowercase prefix pronounced as a separate letter. These are not capitalized if the second letter is capitalized, but should otherwise follow normal capitalization rules:

It seems a bit bogus to me to insist on "TvOS" for something Apple and, I suspect, almost everybody else except for Wikipedia calls "tvOS", but so it goes.... Guy Harris (talk) 10:08, 23 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the clarification! Well, apparently Shivertimbers433 did another revert and restored my "tvOS" version, we'll see if it lasts...
