VIVA SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE

Viva school of Architecture is an architecture school located in Virar Thane (Thana), affiliated to University of Mumbai.It is well blessed with western ghat mountains resting under a nature.Its about 8 km away from Virar railway station.Its about 2km from western express highway that is NH-8.

Admissions

Admissions to the undergraduate course is through the National aptitude test of Architecture .

The institute aims to achieve these goals through following tasks

1. Removing hidden pattern of resilience to cope and overcome, adjust and tolerate.(We believe students must be trained to be revolutionaries or rebels, if required, important here is to give them awareness to express freely)
2. By injecting awareness amongst citizens so that the root of chaos which is in the mind sets of civic administrators are transformed.
3. Developing a process based design approach rather than an product centric approach
4. Introducing and developing concern for human, social, environmental with technical methods and aesthetic concerns.
5. Removing the elitist syndrome from the learning and practice of architecture by conducting various exercises which require mingling with the other groups.
6. Following an evaluation system which itself is process centric and enabling to achieve the objectives and goals of the mission.
7. Formulation of the curriculum itself on the lines of four areas of knowledge integrating skill, technical, creative or design and humanities.
8. To emphasis the development and learning through peer group.
