A tag has been placed on Draft:Codidact, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. I had draft a page in Wikipedia last day (Draft:Codidact). And moderator had removed that page and saying that it was a promotional page. But I was just introducing the Organization here. But why the page was deleted?

BillyIstiak (talk) 05:55, 23 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The page was deleted because it was promotional. It is difficult to think of anything I can say which could explain that more clearly, because the page was so obviously intended to promote its subject that you can't possibly not be aware of the fact. From start to finish it was unambiguously written to encourage its readers to use Codidact. Not only was that perfectly clear from looking at the text of the draft, but you also can't possibly have not been aware that you were creating a page which had been proposed in a post on another web site which, in connection with the proposal to create this Wikipedia article, said "Codidact will be benefitted if we write a Wikipedia article" and "I will try to market the Codidact platform". I am perfectly willing to believe that you came here not knowing that using Wikipedia for promotion would be unacceptable, but not that you didn't intend it to be promotion. There are many websites where you are perfectly free to publicise, market, and promote Codidact, but Wikipedia isn't one of them. JBW (talk) 10:13, 23 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
(ec) Wikipedia is not a place to just tell about something. That is considered promotional, you don't have to be soliciting customers or selling something. A Wikipedia article about an organization must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own, and not prompted by any materials put out by the organization or the mere reporting of its activities, to say about the organization, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable organization. Wikipedia is not interested in what an organization says about itself, only in what others completely unconnected with the organization choose on their own to say about it. Press releases, interviews, the company website, announcements of routine business activities, and other primary sources do not establish notability. Please read Your First Article. It is usually recommended that new users first gain experience by editing existing articles, to get a feel for how Wikipedia operates and what is expected of article content.
You wrote "we" in the draft. If you work for or are otherwise associated with this organization, please read about conflict of interest and paid editing for information on required formal disclosures. 331dot (talk) 10:19, 23 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Recently, I was importing data of this page from the page as the article list says to (In Physics section). But they are irrelevant. That Bangla page is about Planck's pressure and English is about Planck's unit. Since the Immortal Ekushey (Omor Ekushey) is saying that they are relevant so I should change the page name then I can edit. So is there possible way to change page name?

I was looking for "talk" section in Bangla Wikipedia but couldn't find that's why I planned to post it here. Since my question is "Is there possible way to change existing page name?" If the answer is "no". So can you say what I should do at the place? Rather, should I create new article?

Unfortunately, you are unlikely to find an administrator here who can help you with any issues that you are having editing the Bangla Wikipedia. I suggest asking another editor on the Bangla Wikipedia for help. Best of luck. Jake Wartenberg (talk) 20:11, 5 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
