Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the User:ClinuvelPharmaceuticals/sandbox article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text—which means allowing other people to modify it—then you must include on the external site the statement: "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribute Share-Alike".
You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question at the Help Desk. You can also leave a message on my talk page. --Yamla (talk) 19:31, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
- I have globally renamed User:ClinuvelPharmaceuticals to User:Bj1009 and I'll leave someone else to review your unblock request. The block was for your username, but I'd also like to see some understanding that a) you should not include copyrighted text in Wikipedia articles and that b) the marketing nature of a company's own material would not be appropriate for the neutral point of view required of an encyclopedia anyway. Users soft-blocked for username issues should not have to answer further questions as a prerequisite to unblocking after the username issue has been addressed
. So, I unblock the user. Vanjagenije (talk) 17:39, 22 July 2018 (UTC)- Fair enough, but I still ask User:Bj1009 to keep my suggestions in mind as I consider them good advice. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:54, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
