Speedy deletion of :Bka9[edit]

A tag has been placed on :Bka9 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of :Bka9|the page that has been nominated for deletion]] (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you want to get involved, but I'm afraid there's a problem with the article you created, :Bka9. It did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Don't feel too badly; lots of people have a little trouble when creating their first article. You might find it useful to read Your First Article for some good advice about starting to create articles on Wikipedia. Two important rules of thumb are: Avoid writing about yourself, your business, your family and friends, or your web page, and avoid writing about anything that hasn't been written about in reliable sources like books, newspapers, and magazines. Anyway, don't be discouraged. I've deleted the article you created, and feel free to ask me if you have any more questions. If I've made a mistake, and this article really is about a subject that meets the notability criteria, then please let me know my leaving me a message and links to at least three newspaper articles, magazine articles, or books that have been written about the subject, and I'll be glad to undelete it, and even add the sources so no other patroller makes the same mistake. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 18:27, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Friendly note[edit]

This is your user page, where you keep notes and communication to help you write the encyclopedia. You were trying to move your user page to an encyclopedia page! Oops! Remember, encyclopedia pages are only for notable subjects. Like Abraham Lincoln and Cheddar cheese and Football. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 18:29, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

April 2009[edit]

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to 9V Battery. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Kingpin13 (talk) 07:05, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

May 2009[edit]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Motion Picture Association of America film rating system. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. -- Smjg (talk) 00:53, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The book User:Bka9/Books/Wikimedia Commons has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This book hasn't been edited in a long time and contains only one article. It is thus believed to have been created as a test book, no longer useful for anyone, including its creator.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, books may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated book prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the talk page of the book.

Please consider improving the book to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated book prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and the miscellany for deletion process allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Fred Figglehorn, you may be blocked from editing. —C.Fred (talk) 04:35, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
