This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Didymodon tomaculosus, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.ukbap.org.uk/UKPlans.aspx?ID=264. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 14:30, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Wet woodland
[edit]A tag has been placed on Wet woodland requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Tresiden (talk) 14:56, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
Dear Blokenearexeter,
Thanks for beefing this article up, that's great. Just for your information, there is a template for Lepidoptera articles, which I have modified for UK species here. Feel free to use it... Also, are you interested in Lepidoptera in a broader sense than just this one species? If so, would you like to join the "British Butterflies" project to work on our native species pages?—GRM (talk) 17:59, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply. So, what work are you doing? My philosophy on Wikipedia is that I use it as a source of info, and edit stuff as and when I see it needs editing. Since watching butterflies is my hobby, I edit, write or rewrite entries as I do my own research before heading into the field. Hence the work on Heath Fritillary and Duke of Burgundy (butterfly). Add in information as and when you feel the need :-) —GRM (talk) 20:59, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Mentha, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Law Lord (talk) 22:57, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
Please remember to mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Mentha, as minor if (and only if) they genuinely are minor edits (see Help:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearranging of text without modifying content should be flagged as a 'minor edit.' Thank you. Law Lord (talk) 22:58, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, as you forgot on your recent edit to Mentha. Thank you. Law Lord (talk) 22:58, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

WP:PLANTS
[edit]Hello and thank you for your contributions on plant-related articles. I'd like to invite you to become a part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Plants, a WikiProject aiming to improve coverage of plant-related articles on Wikipedia. There's a lot of information on the project page (and at WP:TOL) on things like style guides (a few that spring to mind are italicizing scientific genus/species names, and putting the taxobox before the WP:LEAD). If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or WT:PLANTS which is well-stocked with knowledgeable people. Kingdon (talk) 09:05, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
Multiple consecutive edits, edit summaries
[edit]Hello, and thanks for your contributions. I'd like to make a couple suggestions, if you don't mind. It will be easier for you and your co-editors to collaborate on articles if, instead of making multiple consecutive edits in rapid succession on an article, you use the "Show preview" button to view your changes incrementally before finally saving the page once you're satisfied with your edits. It also helps others watching those pages if you provide an edit summary. Thanks in advance for considering this.
- Help:Edit_summary promotes providing an edit summary when you make changes.
- Help:Show_preview promotes minimizing the number of saves per edit session. Eric talk 02:30, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for November 11
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Purple moor grass and rush pastures, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page National Vegetation Classification (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Snipe
[edit]Hi, I reverted your edit. Wonderful though Devon may be, I don't think it has 25 species of snipe. I suspect you intended Common Snipe to roam your purple moors (; Jimfbleak - talk to me? 17:10, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
ISBN query
[edit]Hi, in your edit to Narthecium ossifragum, you gave the ISBN for the Collins Complete British Wild Flowers as "978-0-00-781484-8". However, this ISBN doesn't seem to exist. Amazon, etc. give it as "978-0-00-720469-4" (see here for example). I'm wondering if you meant this book or another one. Peter coxhead (talk) 18:32, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
Same book slightly different edition, see here
- However, if you follow through the links to find this edition on Amazon, for example, it gives the ISBN-10 as 978-0007204694, not the one given. Strange. Peter coxhead (talk) 17:00, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
I can assure you that the ISBM number I given is the one in my copy, I can email a copy of the page if you like, although better not due to copyright!
- No, I believe you! I just meant that it's strange that the ISBNs seem to be wrong online. Peter coxhead (talk) 12:43, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Festuca rubra may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
- List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
