Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on Wikipedia:Pages needing translation into English. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 07:53, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Victor Felea, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a copy from http://www.freewebs.com/victorfelea/biography.htm, and therefore a copyright violation. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Victor Felea and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Victor Felea with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Victor Felea.

It is also important that the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and that it follows Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at Talk:Victor Felea/Temp. Leave a note at Talk:Victor Felea saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing!  Andreas  (T) 12:58, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On the web site it said that you give permission to show the text on Wikipedia. This is not enough. You will have to grant a license not only to Wikipedia, but to anybody by issuing a GFDL or GFDL-compatible licence. In fact. you do not have to mention Wikipedia at all. You can of course also release the biography to th public domain and write so on the website, as long as you are the author. Wikipoedia is not racist, on the contrary, it is published in 255 languages[1]. So please remove this accusation from your website. You are welcome to add material in Romanian, at the Romanian wikipedia.  Andreas  (T) 18:29, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback re Victor Felea

Please see my comments here and here Cbdorsett (talk) 23:24, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please also see my comments at Talk:Victor Felea. - Jmabel | Talk 01:17, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I copied the biography to the Romanian wikipedia at ro:Victor Felea and also requested translation:

We all worked hard to resolve this issue, it would be oly fair if you now removed the accusations that are at the bottom of the biography page.  Andreas  (T) 14:10, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

First of all. Thankyou for your attention to this matter, my observations on the weak areas will be found will be on my blog shortly. (As seen through comments here in Romania and findings in the last few days. Thankyou Jmabel the answer to your question re the date of birth - 24th May is the correct date.

Dear Dr, Thankyou for your efforts and blog comment, can you clarify if 225 languages is correct on the blog or 255 is correct here. Yes, the comment will be removed, if you haven't re-read it again yet, you will see that it is not an accusation as you initially felt, the synonyms entered will explain. This misinterpretation as an en4 speaker is understandable. (See new blog entry later today.)

Re the translation to English, Cristina Felea is working on that as I type, we are happy to do others if needed.

Dr. Petru Iacob (talk) 18:20, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

255 is correct.  Andreas  (T) 19:05, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thankyou for clarifying that detail (T). Your request for the offending item to be removed has just been actioned. Dr. Petru Iacob (talk) 19:17, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reference your query to referent literar Jmabel. The nearest available term we feel would be 'Playwrite Proofreader'. A full translation is now available on the website http://www.freewebs.com/victorfelea/biography.htm. Posted a few minutes ago Dr. Petru Iacob (talk) 20:52, 29 March 2008 (UTC) Thankyou for your sterling efforts.[reply]

Not all of us can fathom the depths of complexity that simplicity has! It would have been dead easy for me to find and act on correctly all the actions required quite quickly. But the minefield of information, rules and seemingly endless regulations, does and will continue to deter others. Not everyone uses the internet seemingly 24/7 and hopefully the ordinary user in coming days will feel more part of a family rather than an object of ignorance and ridicule because of lack of internet experience and protocol. This problem can go away and with little effort will do, keep up the good work Wiki. If I cross swords again it will be for a very good reason, to help the little person grow as we have done so far. Thankyou one and all, may your next grief be a dilemma in the supermarket. Segregation is also a state of mind issue as well. Dr. Petru Iacob (talk) 17:11, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
