[edit]Hello Burlman54. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Motion RC, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Burlman54. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Burlman54|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. SK2242 (talk) 21:01, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hello, I am not being directly or indirectly compensated for my edits. Just noticed other big RC companies had pages and they didn't. I am a hobbyist and noticed some missing/dated info on other radio control pages and thats when I figured I'd try to make my first page--Burlman54 (talk) 21:27, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
- Alright then. Thank you for the swift reply. SK2242 (talk) 21:39, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

- okay. I will continue working on it, I just figured more info was better than little. I see 2 other hobby companies have wiki pages with minimal info, so trying to discern what makes those acceptable if you could help? Horizon Hobby and HobbyKing are just as prominent in the RC community, but those pages have dead links and links to their own pages etc. Overall its fun to search and edit wiki especially in a field you have knowledge of.--Burlman54 (talk) 00:16, 5 December 2020 (UTC)

- Hello ƒirefly, Is there anyway you can elaborate a bit more for me? Where does it read like an advertisement? The only things left are facts about this company with references from the most notable publications within the RC industry like the Academy of Model Aeronautics and Model Airplane News. I used the template from other notable RC companies that have approved Wiki pages like Horizon Hobby and HobbyKing. Not sure exactly where this doesn't work? --Burlman54 (talk) 22:55, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
