responsible editing

[edit]

Hello,

I have history with the TT myself - I never joined, but came close, and I see the Basin Farm folks around my neck of the woods almost every day, although we're no longer on speaking terms. I just wanted to let you know that, despite the anger and bitterness that you must surely feel for this deceptive group of controllers and ideologues, Wikipedia is not the best place to fight this war. I agree that more balance needs to be brought to the article, but please give some thought to your editing and make wise choices... you must surely know how quickly the internet savvy members, epecially the ones at the Parchment Press offices, could get your IP address banned from Wikipedia for edit warring. I share a lot of your hurt and bitterness, but please, try to transform it peacefully, and use this site to share wisdom, not venom. Don't be like them. Peace -- jaybird 71.169.155.237 (talk) 23:41, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again,

Wikipedia is really not the place to express the difficult emotional scars that this group leaves on ex-members. You will almost certainly see your account locked or banned if this vandalism continues. Try to repay evil with love and kindness, and your healing will become easier. Peace -- Jaybird vt (talk) 18:25, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Thanks for working on this article. All of your external links had bad punctuation: you use double brackets [[]] for internal articles but single ones [] for external links. Even with that change, 3 of your 5 additions were invalid and one talked about 12 tribes with no reference to the Deli. I fixed the one link that worked and was about the article. If you need any assistance with links, just let me know.RevelationDirect (talk) 02:01, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please reach out to me rather than just reposting non-productive posts. I fixed and left your Rick Ross link that discussed how the Yellow Deli was a cult because it was sourced and actually mentioned the deli. I have no axe to grind here. If you have sources that the Yellow Deli gets bad restaurant reviews, fails it health inspections or exploits members of the church, let's add that to the article.RevelationDirect (talk) 17:18, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Chezikah, here are the specific issues:

  • www.iottc.blogspot.com This is not formatted correctly, which is why it's a red link. Even if you go to the article, it talks about the 12 tribes but is not about the Deli. Others will critique that the source is a blog.
  • www.yattt.blogspot.com This is not formatted correctly, which is why it's a red link. Even if you go to the article, it talks about the 12 tribes but is not about the Deli. Others will critique that the source is a blog.
  • twelve tribes_ex.org Not only is this link not formatted correctly for Wikipedia, it's not even a valid website page.
  • [[1]] This is not formatted correctly, which is why it shows as a citation. Even if you go to the article, it talks about the 12 tribes but is not about the Deli.
  • www.twelvetribesteachings.com This is not formatted correctly, which is why it's a red link. Even if you go to the article, it talks about the 12 tribes but is not about the Deli. RevelationDirect (talk) 00:04, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
