Verifiability, sourcing, and footnotes

[edit]

Corolla1955, thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that various editors (me included) have been undoing some of your edits, because you failed to provide a source. Wikipedia relies on the proposition that all content in articles *must* be verifiable by reliable sources, such as books, newspapers, academic journals, and certain magazines and websites. You can't simply add information to a Wikipedia article, even if you are certain it is true; you have to find a reliable source that supports your addition, and add it in the form of a citation to a reliable source along with your new content; see also, Help:Footnotes. Feel free to contact me below, or at my Talk page if you have any questions about this. You can also ask any kind of question about editing here at the Wikipedia:Help desk. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 11:34, 23 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your clarifications! I am very old, trying to do my best. Yesterday, a friend helped me with putting citation in article Vichy regime.
I hope I did well. Thanks again! Corolla1955 (talk) 16:29, 23 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I got messages. Did I do some mistakes? Thank you. Corolla1955 (talk) Corolla1955 (talk) 18:00, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
