Re: Drode as a Capasin

[edit]

Ah, okay. Maybe you want to disclaim that in the actual articles?

Too lazy/apathetic to give you another welcome template, Lkjhgfdsa 22:56, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I can't actually find my copy of The Ellimist Chronicles, so I could be missing something, but from comparing the description of Drode from #27 and the Capasin description from the Capasin article, I can't see many similarities.
From #27:
"It moved on two legs, body held forward and balanced by a stubby tail. It walked like a bird or a small dinosaur. It did hold it's hands up. But they were weak, flimsy things, multiply jointed but obviously designed for very light work or very low gravity.
The head was surprising for that almost reptilian body: vaguely human in shape, with a narrow lower jaw and wide-set, intelligent, laughing eyes.
It was wrinkled, like your thumb after a long bath. It's flesh was dark, almost black. The eyes and mouth were rimmed in green."
From the Capasin article:
"They resemble squids, with giant, bulbous heads dominated by glittering blue eyes, a beak-like mouth, and a number of thin, multi-jointed arms."
Apart from the multi-jointed arms, I can't see any similarities. The Drode description says nothing about a beak or any resemblance with a squid, and the Capasin article says they have many arms, while the Drode description implied they only have two, dinosaur like arms (like a Tyrannosaurus's arms). If there's something else in the description in the Ellimist Chronicles that has more similarities in appearence, but so far I haven't seen anything that suggests they are the same creature. Hmm, okay, you may be right. Still, the description should say "Drode may be a Capasin" or "It is very likely that Drode is a Capasin", instead of "Drode is a Capasin" because there has been no direct confirmation in the books or by the author. Cyclone49 02:51, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ax's Morphs

We can assume he definitely had a djabala morph to pass the proficiency test, but not kafit bird.--Lkjhgfdsa 15:57, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As they say in the movies, "oh be-have". Seriously, though, we are trying to write an encyclopedia here, so don't make joke edits. Some readers looking for a serious article might not find them amusing. Remember, millions of people read Wikipedia, so we have to take what we do a bit seriously here. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write whatever you want (as long as it's not offensive). Kingturtle (talk) 20:46, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
