Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website, I have blocked this account from editing. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here.

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username on this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page (this page): {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken or in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

Thank you. Cabayi (talk) 19:05, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Renamed and unblocked. Please proceed as discussed below, and be very familiar with WP:COI. 331dot (talk) 08:08, 4 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What is your association with the people you are editing about? 331dot (talk) 07:41, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am a friend of the people I am creating and editing pages with. I am not being paid to do so. Creativeforcreativesph (talk) 09:00, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
So you chose the name of a business/website as your username, a business name that sounds like the people you are writing about might be its clients, but you are just a friend of the two people? Is that what you are saying? 331dot (talk) 09:12, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, and I am telling the truth. Creativeforcreatives is one of my email addresses, and a personal one at least. If you want to check if there's a website or a business under this username, you are free to do so. Thank you. Creativeforcreativesph (talk) 09:21, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Most of my writings, when it comes to artists and other creatives, are volunteer work. I enjoy the writing process and giving the opportunity for my fellow Filipino creatives to get published. Again, thank you for your time and have a great day ahead! Creativeforcreativesph (talk) 09:25, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. You will need to declare an unpaid conflict of interest once I've renamed you. Is that okay? 331dot (talk) 15:18, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's absolutely fine with me as it is part of the process and the policy of Wikipedia. Thank you! Creativeforcreativesph (talk) 01:37, 4 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's best if you place the template on your userpage(User:Kalabawsabukid888) and for proper display you need to place it without the "nowiki" tags which suppress wikicode. Use {{UserboxCOI|1=Wikipedia article name}}. The "connected contributor" template is for article talk pages. 331dot (talk) 09:48, 4 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable non-free use File:An edited photo of Dr. Epitacio Ramos Tongohan, as provided by the poet himself.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:An edited photo of Dr. Epitacio Ramos Tongohan, as provided by the poet himself.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:25, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Photo of Dr. Epitacio Ramos Tongohan aka Doc PenPen Bugtong Takipsilim.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:32, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Epitacio Tongohan

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Kalabawsabukid888. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Epitacio Tongohan, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:09, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
Thank you for your message and concern. First and foremost, there is no conflict of interest since I am not being paid to upload neither edit this page. This fact has been disclosed earlier on, when I created this page for the subject since he is considered as a national pride because of his stature in the world of poetry. Nonetheless, in case of edits which the organization may deem inappropriate or in violation of the rules and regulations of the Foundation, the editors may be free to remove such content. However, please note that most of the materials provided are independently sourced, and as a staunch supporter of copyright, I ensure to secure the proper permission to post such materials. Thank you! Kalabawsabukid888 (talk) 05:01, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Meanwhile, in addition, the additional outside link was a copy of the Tagalog book written about the works of Dr. Tongohan, and has been independently published. The criticism written in the book about Tongohan's poetry is all done academically. You may reach the author if you want to. Thank you! Kalabawsabukid888 (talk) 05:03, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not being paid to edit doesn't mean there's no conflict of interest. Having a conflict of interest means that there's more than a casual connection between you and the subject you're editing/creating content about on Wikipdia. This could be a strong personal connection (family member/relative, friend, former teacher, etc.) or a professional connection (professional collegue, co-worker, employer, etc.) or even perhaps just being a huge fan or someone and their work. The problem with editing when you have a conflict of interest is that you may be skewing the article in direction favorable to the subject of the article without even realizing it, while all of the time thinking you're being completely objective and neutral. This is proably the main reason why conflict of interest editing is so highly discouraged by Wikipedia and viewed very suspiciously by many members of the Wikipedia community.
Anyway, the reason I added the above template was that your account seem to be, for the most, an WP:SPA focused soley on editing/creating content related to Epitacio Tongohan. Moreover, some of your edits seem to imply that you're interacting with Tongohan or his representatives outside of Wikipedia and those interaction seem to be related to your edits. Such things aren't necessarily a problem in and of themselves, but combined together the do kind of give the impression that you might be editing more on behalf of Tongohan than you are on behalf of Wikipedia. So, you might want to carefully read through Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide to see whether those pages apply to you and your particular situation. If they do, you probably should follow the guidance those pages provide moving forward.
You were actually advised about this kind of thing almost a year ago by a Wikipedia administrator named 331dot, but you don't seem to have yet followed through on any of 331dots suggestions. In particular, you don't seem to have made a COI declaration. Typically when a someone creates an draft about a subject they have a conflict of interest with, they are expected to use the article's talk page to make edit requests after the draft has been approved as an article instead of continuing to directly edit the article itself. They're not required to do so per se, but strongly encouraged to do so because it lessens the chances of their COI unintentionally affecting their edits. You might to consider that moving forward since it could help you avoid problems down the road with other Wikipedians. You might aslo want to consider editing some other articles instead of focusing all of your efforts on this particular one because it could help you become more familiar with Wikipedia's various policies and guidelines by seeing how they're being applied by others and show others that you're more here for Wikipedia than you are for Tongohan. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:45, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
