Adoption
[edit]Hello Cristixav, I would be happy to adopt you. I will start teaching you as soon as you reply. I am returning from vacation tomorrow, but will be available for a long period of time quite often, and would definitel be willing to teach you the ropes of Wikipedia. I noticed that you speak French; if your French is better than your English I would be willing to teach in English and talk in French or some other arrangement that suits you. Let me know what you would like to do, and I hope I can help you learn about Wikipedia! Neranei T/C 02:16, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hello Cristixav, I'd be more than happy to help you. Just a pointer, when posting on someone's talk page, click on the plus sign next to the Edit This Page button so that it creates a news comment. That will make communication much easier. As for your first question, is is definitely not necessary to be adopted, but it is really helpful. In fact, I'm not sure if there is even an adoption program in those other Wikipedias, you would have to inquire at their Village Pump. About anti-vandalism, that is one of the most important jobs in Wikipedia. There are several great places to start, I would suggest New Pages, found here. Before diving in there, please read and familiarize yourself with WP:CSD, the criteria for deletion. That is your homework for tonight. After you read that, comment on my talk page, and I will answer any questions you have about that. Userboxes are really fun, and they can be found at WP:UBX. Just read the directions, and look through the categories to decide which boxes to copy to your page. I can help you table them if you want; though I am not the best formatter, I will definitely try! Again, if you have any questions, just ask. It's really good to experiment with your user page before moving on to bigger things, this way, you can get a feel for how everything works. I'm cool if you want to communicate in either English or French, English seems like it will work for now, since it is my native language. If you ever need help in Romanian, go to the Local Embassy, on the Main Page, and the people there will be happy to help you. I hope that all of this is helpful! Remember, just ask if you have any questions or are just unsure about anything; I should reply pretty quickly. Warmest regards, Neranei T/C 23:29, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
Fix
[edit]Hi, I've fixed the template on your userpage. I hope you don't mind. Cheers, Dfrg.msc 09:13, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
- No problem at all. I'm pretty good at building templates/boxes/widgety things, so if you need anything done just ask. It's good to see a new user adapt so quickly, I hope you enjoy your time with the project. I'm sure Neranei has everything covered but in you need help at all, you know where I am. Cheers! Homework #1
[edit]You are very, very welcome. Good job; the CSD are pretty clear. I like your userboxes very much; you speak so many languages! I am fascinated with languages too! Your userboxes are great; would you like to learn how to table them? It's not that hard, and your user page will be more compact; I understand the need to tweak things so that they're just right! The process for creating userboxes is not that difficult, you should probably re-read it when less tired, that should make it more clear! :) I would be hapy to help you. So: Your homework...dreaded homework. Nah. This is going to be fun! Do you know how to warn vandals? If you don't, read WP:TT and you will probably get it. It is useful to know in case you find vandalism around. About the collaborative effort, what sort of collaboration would you like to join? I can help you find one that you would like. About the Meta account, I don't have a Meta account, but you should look around and see if other Meta users have fancy userpages or not. If they do, it's probably community accepted to have fancy userpages. If you want to, it would definitely be possible to copy the text, and that would probably be good so people know about you, but I don't think that the userboxes will work on Meta, since the userboxes are an English Wikipedia thing. When you reply, I'll have checked at the Village Pump and asked around, I should have an answer. Also, since you seem to have a pretty good grasp of Wikipedia how-to, what would you like to learn from me? I will be happy to help you with whatever you need. Happy editing! Neranei T/C 22:29, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
Have I got an idea for you!
[edit]Hello Cristixav! How are you? I hope that everything is going well for you! Creating accounts should help you; anti-vandalism efforts are appreciated anywhere! I can try to create some userboxes for you, what colors would you like and such? I can do whatever, but it might take awhile. About the idea I mentioned, you should contact the people at the Local Embassy about offering services in Romanian or any orf the other languages you speak; it will get you acquainted with other people and allow you to help people. Just an idea! And, of course, I am always happy to help! One more thing: What image would you like for the cerebral palsy one? Thanks. Always, Neranei T/C 23:51, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Your Questions
[edit]Hello Cristixav, Sorry that I haven't replied until now; I was a bit busy for awhile there. You are always welcome for the help! From what I found out at the Village Pump, you should be able to copy English Wikipedia userpages to Meta userpages. Ok, I will use the letters CP for the cerebral palsy one; I still have many projects going on at the same time, it might be awhile until I can finish them. I'm very sorry for the delays! As you can tell, I'm not an image guru on Wikipedia; you might want to ask at the village pump, the people there will help you. Always, Neranei T/C 17:53, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
Userboxes
[edit]Hello again, you are very welcome; I'm always glad to help anyone who needs it. If anything, I'm sorry that I can't get to it for a couple of days, and that I'm not an image guru. Nevertheless, thank you for being patient! Have a beautiful Sunday as well! Happy editing, Neranei T/C 21:38, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
Finished!
[edit]Hello again, I've finished your userboxes. They can be found at User:Neranei/userboxes. Hope everything is going well, and that you enjoy the boxes! Do you need help with anything else? Cheers, Neranei T/C 05:39, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Your First Article
[edit]Congratulations on your first article! Creating userboxes is quite simple. All you have to do is copy {{subst:Userbox |side-box colour |main box colour |side-box content |main box content}} and fill in the colors from WP:COLOR and fill "side-box content" with either words or an image, with the format [[Image:ImageName.jpg|43x43px]] and the main box content with whatever you want the box to say. I will put the article on my watchlist; you can too to see when people change it by clicking the "watch" tab at the top. You can check your watchlist by clicking on "my watchlist" in the right hand corner. Hope all is well, Neranei T/C 03:23, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
Helpme
[edit]{{helpme}} I created a few biographical pages and categorized them. For some reason, they appear ordered by first name instead of last name initials. How can I fix this? Thanks!
- You need to add a {{DEFAULTSORT:Last Name, First name}} template just above the categories. You can examine Saeb Erekat as an example. See also: {{DEFAULTSORT}}

Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Cristixav! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 5 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
- Fatos Arapi - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Help Please!
[edit]Hello, I noticed your vast language skills and would like to ask a favor. Recently, I read a page, Sans Pression, that was written partially in French. If possible, could you help translate this page into English?? Thank You! JakeH07 (talk) 05:31, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Thank You!

Request for your Hungarian skills
[edit]Hello! I help out at WP:BLPN, and some editors have raised questions about Agnes Rapai, a Hungarian author. The major question is whether the reviews (listed at the bottom of that article) really indicate notability. If you have a few moments, could you please lend your Hungarian skills in checking those reviews? It's exceedingly hard for non-Hungarian speakers to tell whether 1) she has won significant critical attention in Hungarian sources; or on the other hand, 2) whether these reviews in Hungarian are trivial or insignificant in their discussions of Agnes Rapai. Any advice you feel like giving, either at the article talk page or at the noticeboard would be most appreciated. Thank you! JFHJr (㊟) 19:51, 10 December 2011 (UTC)

ro.wp rename
[edit]I read your message on my ro.wp talk page, I checked your problem and we can definitely fix it. What we'll do is a basic usurpation procedure (the Cristixav1 account will be renamed as Cristixav, and the old Cristixav account will be renamed to Cristixav (uzurpat)). I'll just need a confirmation, via an edit here, with your en.wp account, that it is you who wrote that message on my talk page, and then we're good to go.- Andrei (talk) 18:06, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
- I started the procedure. Although I think it could have been done immediately, given the circumstances, I chose to go literally by the book (by which I mean the usurpation policy), and request usurpation. After a week of no answer, the rename will be performed either by myself or by another ro.wp bureaucrat. The status of the request can be watched at ro:Wikipedia:Schimbarea numelui de utilizator.- Andrei (talk) 08:37, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Emmanuel Community
[edit]The article Emmanuel Community has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- A search for references failed to find significant coverage in reliable sources to comply with notability requirements. This included web searches for news coverage, books, and journals, which can be seen from the following links:
Emmanuel Community – news, books, scholar
Consequently, this article is about a subject that appears to lack sufficient notability. Please see the plain-language summary of our notability guidelines.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Triplecaña (talk) 10:53, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
