[edit]Hi Csusarah! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
Library resources box
[edit]I'm not sure it's that useful to add this template to broad articles such as "Sound" and "Critique" - clicking through to a random library for those keywords does not give very helpful results. There's a discussion here about appropriate use, if you have any thoughts. --McGeddon (talk) 11:38, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
- Some of your more specific choices have been very good though, e.g. Commercial law, Asset management, Filmmaking. My approach is: if an article name is something that would make a useful search term in a library catalogue in order to find books on a subject, then it's a good choice of article to add the Library resources box to. - Lawsonstu (talk) 12:56, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hi User:McGeddon and User:Lawsonstu,
- Thank you for your feedback. I can see I have inadvertently caused some issues here. Would you like me to go through some of the broader articles and remove the library resource boxes? I have made a few more today (until I noticed this message), and will cease to make any more until I have discussed with my peers.
- Thanks, User:csusarah
Connection?
[edit]Is there a connection between you and User:Csutric? If so, please read WP:Multiple accounts. Thanks. – S. Rich (talk) 06:51, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hi User:Srich32977,
- User:Csutric and I are simply adding Library Resource Boxes to selected articles. Thank you for directing me to WP:Multiple accounts. I don't believe it applies in this instance as this is my only account. However, let me know if I have misunderstood - I am new here.
- Thanks, User:Csusarah.
- Certainly. To let you know, "paid editing" is a hot topic in Wikipedia right now. E.g., there is a lot of discussion about it. For now you simply need to look at WP:COI. And, as you may know, I've pointed Custric to Wikipedia:GLAM. Thanks for your contributions. – S. Rich (talk) 04:09, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
- This is great, thank you. I was talking to a colleague today about how difficult it can be joining an established community such as Wikipedia because you can inadvertently do the wrong thing out of ignorance. Luckily, the feedback I have received from people so far has been provided in a friendly and helpful manner, regardless of whether it is good or bad. I appreciate your help!
