Radio Jupiter moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Radio Jupiter. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 13:29, 26 May 2024 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on User:Cyw40cyw40/sandbox, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. (See section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Cyw40cyw40. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Radio Jupiter, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:13, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, Thanks for the response. I’m pretty new to this. I did create the original Radio Jupiter article & got it totally wrong! Is it possible to have the original deleted & then I can move the newly created one from my Sandbox? Thanks... Cyw40cyw40 (talk) 10:21, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- The Radio Jupiter article is subject to an ongoing deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Radio Jupiter, which so far looks to be heading for a 'delete' verdict. If that is indeed the outcome, then yes, you can create a new draft in your sandbox or in the Draft: name space, but please be aware that a recent deletion following an AfD discussion with clear consensus to delete will count against the subject and make it more difficult to get a new article accepted. You are welcome to improve the existing article while the deletion discussion carries on, and if you have evidence of notability which isn't currently included in it, you would be well advised to include it now. It may be too late to turn the AfD discussion around, but no harm in trying at least.
- However, you didn't actually answer my query, which was to do with any conflict of interest you may have in this subject. I noticed that 100% of your edits have to do with Radio Jupiter – there's probably a reason for that? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:30, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, Thanks. I have no conflict of interest. I’m actually a volunteer of Radio Jupiter, just simply trying to get them a wiki page, but not making a good job of it. Cyw40cyw40 (talk) 10:38, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- Well, thanks... except that you very much do have a conflict of interest. You may not come under our paid-editing rules (then again, maybe you do; eg. interns do, even if they aren't paid), but if you're writing about an organisation you're in any way affiliated with, there is a conflict which needs to be disclosed. Please do so now, the instructions are in the message at the start of this thread (see esp. the 3rd bullet point starting 'disclose'). Thank you. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:43, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- Eeek… Sorry. I volunteered to have a go at writing them an article & am in no way paid… I suppose by offering then I do have a COI. I’ll figure out how to declare that... Cyw40cyw40 (talk) 10:58, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
