A tag has been placed on Wilmington Montessori School, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. As I said above, you have a conflict of interest in that you are somebody involved with the school, and therefore should not be editing the article, but allow somebody with no interest in the subject to do so. In addition, all logos must have a fair use rationale, specifically pointing to the article name and why the logo is needed. I have also nominated the article for deletion, since there's nothing notable about this school, it's just a run of the mill Montessori school. Corvus cornixtalk 23:10, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Comment: I am not posting any commercial or otherwise commercially promotional material about this school. Although I have worked on the school's website, I am not being remunerated in any fashion for this wikipedia entry. After reading the COI article, I do not believe that I fall under any of the examples. Although "Closeness" could possibly apply, I have followed the advice and guidance of another editor and carefully removed any content that could have been deemed as promotional within minutes of her making the suggestion. My reading of the COI suggests that experts on a subject or people close to a subject are absolutely able to edit articles, if they can retain neutrality and follow the guidance of other editors, which I have. I have included additional information on the notability of the school on the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wilmington Montessori School page. I disagree with your statements that "Montessori schools are a dime a dozen" and that WMS is "just a run of the mill Montessori school". I hope that you will read the additional information provided. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

Deletion discussion
Hello. This time the deletion nomination is not speedy. There will be a 5-day deletion debate (generally 5 days) at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wilmington Montessori School. You should have plenty of time to read over the policies on deletion discussions. There are suggestions here for how to respond. Also helpful should be this essay. Basically, the article is nominated for deletion under the theory that it does not meet the notability guidelines for companies (commercial or otherwise). Good luck with that AfD. Your best defense is to find published sources to show notability for the school. Then you need to cite them into the article. Here's a list of templates I use WP:CITE. Suggestion re AfD
Hi, Daddy.twins. (And, by the way, I have responded to your note at my talk page.) I'd like to suggest that you reword and reduce your latest couple of notes at the AfD to something much more succinct like, "I have added additional sources to the article. For more specifics, see Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Wilmington Montessori School." (Obviously, you would move the full notes to that talk page.) I'm afraid you may be discouraging uninvolved participants from contributing to the conversation with the amount of text you're placing. Just to put it in perspective, there were 153 articles brought up for deletion debate yesterday alone. I'm afraid that many of the contributors to these discussions approach them with a tendency to avoid overly complex discussions. Hi, perhaps you would revisit this please? The accepted practice is to merge nn elementary/middle schools into the district (US/Canada) or locality (UK/Australia) which preserves some content in a location where it can be found. James English School
I think the school page article already makes it clear that school articles which don't establish notability should normally be merged into the appropriate locality article. It only seems to be America and Canada which have school districts and there seem to be a lot of school district articles which is why it's preferable to merge American and Canadian schools with the school district. It looks like I'm in the minority on this though, so the article should survive.
