User talk:Dalekerrigan
Hi, Dalekerrigan.
Thanks for contributing the great photos of Coonalpyn. It may be worth considering, however, that instead of a large photo gallery built into the article, that a link to a gallery in Wikimedia commons may be more suitable.
An example of this approach is Berrigan, New South Wales which includes a commons link to commons:Berrigan, New South Wales as per the link shown to the right. This would streamline the gallery in the article and as a further advantage make those photos available for other Wiki projects such as the Wikipedias in other languages.
If you are interested please let me know on my talk page and I will try and help you through the process. The process is reasonably simple and would not take long to do. Cheers,Mattinbgn/ talk 02:58, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Dalekerrigan. I am a little busy at present and will get back to you fully at a later stage but as a first step, you will need to create an account at Wikimedia Commons here - commons:Main Page. It is much the same process as creating an account here. You will need to reupload your photos to the Commons site. Try and use the same names as you used in Wikipedia, this will save you having to change the image links in your articles. Wikimedia Commons has a set format for documenting uploaded images and it is important to to follow their steps or else it becomes difficult for other users to find anything. When you have created your account let me know and I will give you a hand with appropriate categories for your images. Once we have the images uploaded we can create some gallery pages for your towns. Good luck.--Mattinbgn/ talk 02:07, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Hi Karl
[edit]Thanks for the message. How's the year treating you?
I was bored once and thought I'd put something preliminary up. I'm glad you gave it a good working over. I reworked it again to try and structure the page - and give equal room for ALC the academic college, and ALC the campus. Does that make sense?
I'm not as proficient with the photos, but I recon it could do with a nice one of Hebart Hall (is that the main one?) - as this is probably the iconic thing passers-by would remember the ALC by. What do you think?
Tom
Image source problem with Image:Aust luth college.gif
[edit]This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Aust luth college.gif. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:42, 11 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. Image copyright problem with Image:Coonalpyn downs.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Coonalpyn downs.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Fair use rationale for Image:Aust luth college.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Aust luth college.gif. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 12:13, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Australian Lutheran College Infobox
[edit]Hi Dalekerrigan I'm afraid I've made a mistake in the ALC infobox. When I tried to remove the "colours" section of the box, I didn't do it properly. I should have used the sandbox, then I wouldn't have stuffed the actual page. Sorry! Could you please fix this by either removing the "colours" section or fixing it to a blank. Thanks!!! NowCommons: File:DSCN3199.JPG

Notification of automated file description generation
[edit]Your upload of File:Alc horrie.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! - Another one of your uploads, File:Alc chapel.jpg, has also had some information automatically added. If you get a moment, please review the bot's contributions there as well. Thanks! Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 11:36, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
The file File:The mighty bonk.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unused logo with no article used, it's also can't move to commons because of an unused logo will be deleted as of out of project scope.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Willy1018 (talk) 13:57, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
