Hey Gogo Dodo - The James Bates (sportscaster) page needs to be updated. I work with him and this bio is not correct. He wants it updated to reflect his current bio. How can I correct his updated bio without violating the copyrighted material? (Dangoldberger (talk) 20:16, 20 August 2013 (UTC))

First off, you need to stop copying material from his biography on the Fox Sports web pages. Such copying and pasting is a copyright violation and is not acceptable on Wikipedia.
You may update his biography, but you need to write it in your own words, not copied from others. I recommend that you read Wikipedia's article subject's FAQ before you continue to edit as it should answer many of the questions you may have regarding updating his biography. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 20:21, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
