Duplicate images uploaded
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Via Rail.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Via Station.jpg. The copy called Image:Via Station.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot (talk) 19:44, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Lögberg-Heimskringla
[edit]A tag has been placed on Lögberg-Heimskringla, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Mavicanet
[edit]The article Mavicanet has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 18:24, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Division No. 9, Manitoba. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. This applies to all the Census division pages you've been creating. JPilborough-Leave Message 20:25, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Source references, verification needed
[edit]You have not provided references on any of your Manitoba census division articles, so that we can verify what you have written. Please do so as soon as posible, or your articles may be deleted. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 20:31, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Please stop
[edit]Please immediately stop creating pages using copy-and-paste material from government websites. I have initiated a discussion of your contributions, which seem to be substantially taken from other websites, at the Incidents noticeboard. Tony Fox (arf!) 21:09, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Manitoba Division articles
[edit]I'm afraid all 15 articles had to be deleted as copyright infringements. The website is very clear that it is not free content: http://www.communityprofiles.mb.ca/disclaimer.html CIreland (talk) 00:25, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Division No. 3, Manitoba, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Pembina Valley Region, Manitoba. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 19:03, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Manitoba divisions
[edit]The numbered divisions should be categorized as Category:Census divisions of Manitoba, not as Category:Geographic regions of Manitoba. And the template code should be {{Manitoba|census=yes}}, not {{Manitoba|regions=yes}}. Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 03:16, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Manitoba Antique Automobile Museum, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of Manitoba Antique Automobile Museum and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Bearian (talk) 19:19, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
