Edit summaries, "minor edit" marking

Hello! One of the nice things on wikipedia is called "edit summaries"

You can (and should!) write edit summaries for your edits. And if you view a page history -- see Help:Page_history if you don't know how -- you'll see other people's edit summaries. For example, I reverted some of your edits yesterday, and explained why in my edit summary, and you can see that explanation at the page history here. Then you re-made the changes but didn't say anything in your edit summary. It's fine if we disagree with each other ... I think these particular edits are ones where reasonable people can disagree ... but I offered an explanation for why I reverted it, so you're supposed to respond to that, either in your edit summary or on the article talk page -- Help:Talk pages. In this particular case the talk page is Talk:Translation operator (quantum mechanics).

Also, you've been tagging almost all of your edits as "minor edits". A "minor edit" is one that no one could possibly disagree with, for example correcting a spelling error or erasing vandalism. You have been making substantial layout changes, as well as putting back in the show/hide box that I deleted yesterday, that at least one person (me!) disagrees with, so I think you shouldn't be marking them as "minor". It's no big deal, I know it can be confusing, but now you know :-D

I know that editing wikipedia is complicated technically and has a complicated set up community / cultural norms, and I hope you understand that I'm trying to help you and not harangue you, and I hope you stick it out until you get the hang of it. :-D

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

Hello, Davidcarfi. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
