A tag has been placed on VoiceMail, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Wikilost (talk) 06:09, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on VoiceMail requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JNW (talk) 06:19, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Your recent edits
[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 07:46, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Okay, thank you. I'm sorry though... I just had no idea. Reading really IS fundamental, like they say. --Davis1922 (talk) 08:13, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Trying to create Voice Mail (band)
[edit]Hi! I noticed the discussion on Talk:Voice Mail (band). If I am interpreting your comments correctly, then I think you may have overlooked some possibilities. If you are attempting to write an article, you do not need to Save Page for each edit. Using preview may help you get to a point where it is appropriate to save. Also, the wp:sandbox or using your userspace to develop an article may prove useful. This is not to say that your userspace or the sandbox is an appropriate place to store copyright violations, but you may be able to edit the article into a useful form there and then put it into an actual article once you have made the appropriate adjustments. Thank you. And yes, I'm sure I've overlooked quite a bit of useful information. I honestly hadn't read much of anything and I know that's awful to admit. I just had gotten excited about trying to create this page that I had no clue how difficult it would be or all that is involeved in creating these pages! Whew! Anyway, yes, thank you for the info. I did not know this. I will read it and hope I understand it so I can stop saving every little change. Thanks again. --Davis1922 (talk) 08:16, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Woops, I just did it again... it was an automatic reaction. I will try not to do it again though. --Davis1922 (talk) 08:20, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Voice Mail (band) has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '[A-Za-z][0-9]+\.photobucket\.com\/albums\/.*\.[jpg|jpeg|gif|png|svg]' (link(s): http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l82/davis1922/VM.jpg) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image or a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! I did not mean for that to occur. I do not know how to add an image so I was trying to link it to my photobucket. I hope I can continue to edit this page in the next few days... I am sleepy and am about to go to bed now. I changed the page back to how it was before. Again, I didn't mean to alert you all. I wasn't putting any spam or virus-filled document on here. Just trying to upload an image. I'll read up about it later though. Thanks.--Davis1922 (talk) 09:11, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Voice Mail (band)
[edit]I have nominated Voice Mail (band), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Voice Mail (band). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rwiggum (Talk/Contrib) 19:25, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bmyspace\.com' (link(s): http://www.myspace.com/voicemailgroup) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
