Proposed deletion of Forrester Originals Boutiques

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Forrester Originals Boutiques, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Ironholds (talk) 17:53, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Forrester Originals Boutiques requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of The Newman/Miller Family, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.soapcentral.com/yr/ftrees/newman.php. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Speedy deletion of "The Winters Family"

[edit]

A page you created, The Winters Family, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for biographies in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Chicago god (talk) 19:11, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of The Carlton Family

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on The Carlton Family, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because The Carlton Family seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting The Carlton Family, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Genoa City families

[edit]

I reverted the change you made to the Genoa City article that listed the families besides the Chancellors, Abbotts, and Newman's as "minor families". Do you have any references that name the other families "minor"? Rocksey (talk) 01:02, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of NVP Retreats‎

[edit]

The article NVP Retreats‎ has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

AfD nomination of Newman Enterprises

[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Newman Enterprises. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Newman Enterprises. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:13, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Los Angeles, California (The Bold and the Beautiful), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Los Angeles, California (The Bold and the Beautiful). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Infoboxes

[edit]

The purpose of a soap character infobox is to give readers a quick overview of the basic details of the characters. We don't need to have cousins who are twice removed on the maternal side. That's just silly. Also, when editing them we should follow the normal rules of writing in English when it comes to proper nouns. For instance, when describing where Carly Corinthos lives we don't need to capitalize "Jacks Lake House". Unless the writers have chosen to formally name the home "Jacks Lake House", it should probably be written as "Jacks' lake house". I also notice you're doing a lot of work with infoboxes. It isn't really necessary. What we need in articles related to soap operas are more reliable sources to indicate real world notability. Most of these articles are just plot with nothing about character creation or meaningful discussion about the impact the character has had. If you want to see one of the best soap articles take a look at Pauline Fowler from British soap EastEnders. AniMate 20:30, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Infoboxes...again

[edit]

Remember, infoboxes are there to give essential information. We don't need a character's entire work history. You seem to be editing strictly from a fan perspective, and not thinking about this as an encyclopedic project. Perhaps you would be better suited working over at Wikia. Their standards of notability are generally lower than ours, and you can do the whole fanboy/girl thing to your hearts content. AniMate 01:06, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Port Charles

[edit]

Thanks for reverting all of the work I did. You reinserted a bunch of poorly written, overly detailed crap. Don't do it again. Write for an encyclopedia and not a fan site. AniMate 22:22, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please read the essay on fancruft. Instead of adding trivial details to the article, perhaps you can add some reliable sources. Maybe you can even find some third-party sources. With one primary source, what the article doesn't need is more detail. Try developing the article, before you try to expand it. AniMate 18:58, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

And just in case you feel tempted to add back that chart, I've found four characters that never actually appeared on the show. I challenge you to find anything on "Perry Masil", "Wendel Eltoz", "Anderson Valey", or "Bryant Nemer". Masil and Eltoz apparently served as assistant chief of staff, while Nemer and Valey supposedly served as chief of staff. One problem: the characters never existed. The internet is certainly fallible, but you'd think there would be something besides mirrors of this article that mentioned these characters holding important positions like Chief of Staff on a show about a hospital. Curiously, they do not. AniMate 01:45, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition to Mackenzie Browning has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Rocksey (talk) 21:05, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nicole Walker

[edit]

Do not continue to add "Robbins" to the list of last names Nicole was formerly known by. There is no source that say she was ever known by this name, and it's considered vandalism to add it. Rm994 (talk) 02:15, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Proper nouns

[edit]

I've noticed you continue to edit almost exclusively in infoboxes. Fun. When adding a person's residence to an infobox, you have to remember basic capitalization when it comes to proper nouns and regular nouns. The word "house" is usually only a proper noun when it is in the title of the building. For instance the White House, is an example where house is properly capitalized. Unless you've decided to give your house a title like "Dcrawford84's House", the correct capitalization would actually be "Dcrawford84's house". In fact, most houses and homes don't have proper names, even in soap operas where several do. I don't think the "Kiriakis Mansion", "Chandler Mansion", and "Dante's Loft" are actually designated names like the White House. Shouldn't they be written "Kiriakis mansion", "Chandler mansion", and "Dante's loft". Yeah, they should. Keep up the essential work of fiddling with infoboxes, and maybe consider adding something with a reliable source some day. AniMate 04:43, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not that I expect you to answer this, but why would you insert a break in Mamie Johnson's residence when what needs to be corrected is the capitalization. "Formerly The Abbott Mansion"? The Abbot Mansion is not a proper noun. Try to remember the basic rules of English most people learned as children. AniMate 20:18, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

[edit]

Creating an article like [[[Cenoa City (fictmonal city)]], which I had to delete, is purely disruptive. If you continue to edit the way you have been, you will be blocked. I'm not the only person on Wikipedia who has warned you about following the rules around here, and if you can't follow them, I won't hesitate to block you. AniMate 20:25, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Port Charles (fictional city), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Sam Morgan and Tim Spencer.
