Hello, Deadly Coordinates, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Template:Redirectto, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! mabdul 14:49, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. mabdul 14:49, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Autoconfirmed or confirmed???

[edit]

{{helpme}} I am an autoconfirmed user. Can I change it to confirmed user? Deadly Coordinates (talk) 02:11, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Theres no difference. A user who is confirmed had the change done by a person before the normal edit/time limit, since you've already passed the limit it was done automatically. Take a look at WP:UAL for more details--Jac16888 Talk 02:22, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of "Wikipedia:Angelina Jolie"

[edit]

A page you created, Wikipedia:Angelina Jolie, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is a test page. Use the sandbox for testing.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Nasnema  Chat  10:57, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on SP:RAND, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to an article talk page, file description page, file talk page, MediaWiki page, MediaWiki talk page, category talk page, portal talk page, template talk page, help talk, user page, user talk or special page from the main/article space.

If you can fix the redirect to point to a mainspace page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you are fixing the redirect. If you think the redirect should be retained as is for some reason, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. What's the deal with Wikipedia:Angelina Jolie? How is this appropriate, and why shouldn't I revert your changes top policy pages, given the note above and your apparent lack of understanding of policy? Acroterion (talk) 13:58, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Date calculation

[edit]

How do I calculate date and time, precise to seconds? (Add the Windows XP countdown to the article Windows XP)

Maybe you should ask that at the WP:Reference Desk. mabdul 11:21, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

16:10

[edit]

I've moved 16:10 back where it belongs. If that's how the term is commonly used, then that's where the title belongs, not in some mathematically cleaner fraction reduction. Please discuss such moves before you make them. Acroterion (talk) 03:47, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
