Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Degreecelsius, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Scape TV, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Scape TV requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Scape TV moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Scape TV, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Welcome!

Hello, Degreecelsius, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to The Wire (India) does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Questions page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I would love to know why the artcile does not contain the Fake news allegation which got established clearly and the News media had to retract the article. In the wikipedia artcile not in one place it mentions about that event as Fake news which obviously it was. I have provided with links from credible news agency and what makes you to remove those. Could you please explain how stating a fact comes under Neutral Point of View policy?
That was a notable event and why it should not mentioned as Fake News which clearly it was. 103.210.134.116 (talk) 17:00, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
First, your assumption is wrong. The Wire article covers the Tek Fog story quite extensively. A full quarter of the article is dedicated to it - The_Wire_(India)#Meta/XCheck_Story. So the article has actually covered it pretty well.
And as for Neutral Point of View, that policy covers facts as well. More specifically, it is about Due and undue weightage. If one boxer in the Olympics is found cheating, that should not be noted in the lead paragraphs about Olympics 2024. Even if reliable sources cover a fact, you need to figure out what is important and not important enough to warrant adding to the article (and then, the lede).
The place to discuss your suggestions is at Talk:The Wire (India). I don't think your edits were completely bad, that's why I am welcoming you to Wikipedia. I think we could still use some more details from the source you linked. But we do have certain expectations from our edits, and the edits as added needed work. That's why you should go to the talk page and explain why we should cover the Tek Fog story further in the article, or in the lede.
Hope that explains things better. Happy editing! Soni (talk) 17:49, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
