Garden City

Thanks for the pat on the back. I don't usually spend more than five minutes on any one article, but that one was driving me mildly insane-- perhaps if I lived in that modern-day utopia, I'd have been less thorough. :p Ipsenaut 04:45, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Not sure how you figured it out before me, or even knew to look, but thanks for catching that trash on my page. I really appreciate's just sad that someone else saw it before I did; shows where my mind is lately. a thanks:

Chocolate apple pie

With your consent, I'd like to blank the whole thing and redirect it to Apple pie. I think it is a waste of energy on Afd. It's been speedy tagged twice, prodded & the article is nonsensical (I'd say WP:NOT a recipe book, but it's not even really a recipe). But if you'd like to see the discussion go through, I'll resist the urge. Cheers. Dina 01:50, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

Column breaks?

Nice of you to help with vandalized talk pages. A lot of that happened yesterday.

I thought that the syntax was as follows:

First two opening {{

Then: ColBreak

Followed immeciately by two closing }}

Why is this failing to create a new column? The page in question is Black Saint/Soul Note. Thanks. Dogru144 09:46, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

good or bad?

Always bad - no matter the circumstance. Pro-choice people hate abortions - nobody "likes" them, but they are a necessary evil.Dougieb 16:21, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

Do You guys sit around all day and edit pages and make pages....?

Yes, and night too ... and some of us would add another time dimension to keep on editing. Dogru144 22:47, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

Please resolve ongoing move dispute, over name

Persons named Juan González use an accent over the "a" in Gonzalez. Editors have moved the page to Juan Gonzalez (journalist) without the accent several times. Please help secure that the page can remain with the accent. The system is locked against moving the page to the proper spelling. Dogru144 21:37, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

please dont edit my discussion page

Gonzalez with accent name dispute

Thanks for your tip.

External links / RMT

It looks like we have different ideas about what should go in the external links section. On Talk:Milton Academy I wrote:

External links do not have to be "verifiable research". We link to official pages of organizations. We link to usenet postings. We link to reviews. In general, we link to material that is useful and not misleading. Read WP:EL.
-- Jeff 04:02, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
No response; putting RMT back.
--Jeff 15:14, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

And then a few days later you removed the links again and indicated that you were doing so per WP:EL. I don't see WP:EL as saying this, but perhaps I'm looking at a different section or reading something differently. How do you see the policy prohibiting RMT and the like?

Look, you are not from the town of Ballyjamesduff in Ireland, so stop removing the information that is factually accurate. If you ever came over here, you would realise how true the article (that you keep undoing) actually is. Excuse me, but who the fuck are you to edit my discussion page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 06:45, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

I apologize for any misunderstanding, but you seem to have edited the Northview High School Page for "inside jokes". The inside jokes on the page are inside jokes about the school, not inside jokes meant to be vandalism or the anything of the sort. Sorry for any confusion!

Thanks, Historywiz123 02:49, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Those aren't inside jokes, they are facts.

If your arguement is true, then every single word on the Northview page should be referenced by a notable source. —Preceding unsigned comment added by NorthviewTitans (talkcontribs) 23:10, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Discospinster, I am perplexed why you keep tagging our company page as an advert. I completely rewrote this page to reflect straight forward and factual information about our company. After reviewing such companies as Alienware I tried to design our page to reflect the same approach. If you tell me what is in your opinion advert, I will remove it. Thanks for your time. Re: Nation Project

I appreciate that you informed, and did not just delete it. I do dislike - no, hate - it when people do that.

However, I am still working on the article, and am now. If deleted, I, as well as other users related to the project, will contest it...can't think of a word to descibe it, but to the effect of "valiantly."

Hey Larry

Hi Larry. Listen, sorry for not contributing to the Hamilton, Ontario-related articles lately but it appears I have to be making some preparations to go State-side and appear on a TV series down there that airs on NBC. Check out my web site for the details. Thanks Nhl4hamilton 08:24, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Unionoida vs Unionidae

I thought that Unionoida was the Order and Unionidae the Family?

I didn't have much to add the Unionoida page, but it is linked to from about 20 pages and I was tired of seeing a red link in the taxobox. It doesn't seem correct to redirect to Unionidae, but as a non-biologist, I don't have anything more to add to the Unionida page.

categories in talk page

We placed categories in a talk page (Talk:Speech_perception) where a preview of of our soon-to-be-finished update of the speech perception entry is located. Didn't realize it would mess up the lists of categories, etc... sorry about that... --Jonas.kluk 07:16, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Tulsa Preservation Commission - Maple Ridge (Tulsa)

So this has been a frustrating experience to say the least. One day in, I'm about ready to punt on the whole thing.

Backing up a bit, my name is Ed Sharrer, I'm a staff planner for the Tulsa Preservation Commission. We are an official board of the City of Tulsa municipal government. I would be willing to verify any of this information by whatever means are required.

I have attempted to add content pages regarding several of Tulsa's historic resources -- content that the TPC owns and is willing to share with the public. That is part of our mission -- to create educational materials about Tulsa historic resources. Unfortunately, it seems as though the content I am posting gets deleted almost as fast as it's added.

This is not a friendly process for newcomers.

--Tulsapreservation 14:34, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Based on a helpful suggestion from Elkman, I've added a statement to our user page that grants permission to Wikipedia to use content from the TPC website under the GFDL license. Please advise if this is the proper way to shift this process in the right direction. Tulsapreservation 16:51, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Andean House

Thanks for reverting the blanking of I did not realise the community had evolved an immune system ;)

In this case the blanking was not vandalism, it was blanked by the original author, myself, because the information was no_longer_true. (I apologise for not not having logged on when I did so.)

I created the page to provide a place for independent comment on the project in the spirit of the Wikipedia community. However the pan to launch the school has been shelved. Things which are in the process of happening may be useful entries, but I would consider it information-noise to keep pages on every project that folds.

Could you recommend a course of action at this point? Nickhock 22:31, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
